KIWITEA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
———
Workers Dwellings Loan 1962, £15,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Kiwitea County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of fifteen thousand pounds (£15,000) authorised to be raised by the Kiwitea County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting workers’ dwellings within the County of Kiwitea, the said Kiwitea County Council hereby makes a special rate of one hundred and forty-eight thousandths of one penny (0·148d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value of all rateable property of the whole of the County of Kiwitea; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a term of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

The Wellington City Sewerage Loan 1962 of £300,000

THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Wellington City Council held on the 12th day of December 1962: Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of three hundred thousand pounds (£300,000) to be known as the Wellington City Sewerage Loan 1962 of £300,000 authorised to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing further sewerage reticulation in the city and completing sewerage works already under way, the Wellington City Council hereby makes a special rate of one hundred and thirty-two one-thousandths of a penny (0·132d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

The Wellington City Cemeteries Loan 1962 of £26,000

THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Wellington City Council held on the 12th day of December 1962: Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of twenty-six thousand pounds (£26,000) to be known as the Wellington City Cemeteries Loan 1962 of £26,000 authorised to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of developing Makara Cemetery, the Wellington City Council hereby makes a special rate of twelve one-thousandths of a penny (0·012d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

BAY OF ISLANDS COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Workers’ Housing Loan 1962, £7,000

THAT, in pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Bay of Islands County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of seven thousand pounds (£7,000) authorised to be raised by the Bay of Islands County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing land and erecting or purchasing two workers’ dwellings, the Bay of Islands County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·07 (decimal zero seven) pence in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the County of Bay of Islands; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Bay of Islands was hereunto affixed at the office of and pursuant to a resolution of the Bay of Islands County Council in the presence of—

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Buckley Drainage Scheme Loan 1962, £16,000—Buckley Drainage Scheme Classified Special Area

RESOLVED:

“That, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Manawatu Catchment Board hereby resolves as follows, that, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £16,000 authorised to be raised by the Manawatu Catchment Board under the above-mentioned Act for the Buckley Drainage Scheme, the said Manawatu Catchment Board hereby makes a special rate of

8 4 per acre per annum on Class A land
6 8 per acre per annum on Class B land
3 9 per acre per annum on Class C land
2 1 per acre per annum on Class D land
1 3 per acre per annum on Class E land
0 10 per acre per annum on Class F land

upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Buckley Drainage special rating area as defined in the Buckley Drainage Scheme classification rating district shown on classification list and plan No. 1009 signed by John William Kealy, Stipendiary Magistrate, at Palmerston North, on the 27th day of March 1962; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was passed by the Manawatu Catchment Board at its meeting held on 18 December 1962.

HAVELOCK NORTH BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
———

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Havelock North Borough Council did, at a meeting held on 18 December 1962, resolve as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £5,000 authorised to be raised by the Havelock North Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for sewerage extensions in the Franklin Terrace and Middle Road–Te Aute Road areas, the said Havelock North Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·066 pence in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property comprising the whole of the Borough of Havelock North; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 15th day of January and the 15th day of July in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Dated at Havelock North this 19th day of December 1962.
