ELLERSLIE BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Ellerslie Borough Council resolves as follows:

“That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on a loan of £120,000 authorised to be raised by the Ellerslie Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing sewer drainage for that portion of the borough not yet served, the said Ellerslie Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of six decimal one nine pence (6·19d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Ellerslie; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 15th day of April and the 15th day of October in each year and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

BIRKENHEAD BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pensioner Housing Loan 1962, £24,300

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Birkenhead Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of twenty-four thousand three hundred pounds (£24,300), to be known as the Pensioner Housing Loan 1962, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Birkenhead Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting accommodation for aged persons, the said Birkenhead Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one thousand and sixty-four ten thousandths pence (0·1064d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (based on the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the special rating area of the Borough of Birkenhead; and the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate in each and every year during the currency of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Birkenhead Borough Council held on the 11th day of December 1962.

BAY OF ISLANDS ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Reticulation Extension Loan No. 17 (1962), £60,000

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amendments and of all other powers it thereunto enabling, the Bay of Islands Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing for the repayment of the principal, interest, and other charges on the Board’s Reticulation Extension Loan No. 17 (1962) of £60,000 authorised to be raised by the Bay of Islands Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of supplying and distributing electrical energy for the benefit of the Bay of Islands Electric Power District, and for such purpose to do all or any of such matters and things which the Board is empowered to do by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and its amendments and by all other powers and authorities it enabling, the Bay of Islands Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-quarter of one penny (¼d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Bay of Islands Electric Power District; such special rate to be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 13th day of December in each and every year, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully repaid.”

Dated at Kaikohe this 13th day of December 1962.

AMURI COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Amuri County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £6,000 (six thousand pounds) authorised to be raised by the Amuri County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting the additional cost of work in respect to the construction of a new intake and race to increase the supply of water to the Balmoral water-supply system, the said Amuri County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·42 (decimal four two), 0·21 (decimal two one), and 0·072 (decimal nought seven two) pence in the £ (pound) on the capital value of all rateable lands in class A, B, and C lands respectively in the Balmoral Water Supply District; and the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 (twenty-five) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

We hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was passed at a properly constituted meeting of the Amuri County Council held on the 7th day of December 1962.

MANUKAU COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Rural Housing Loan 1962, £20,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Manukau County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £20,000 authorised to be raised by the Manukau County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939 within the County of Manukau, the said Manukau County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought one one pence (0·011d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable capital value of all rateable property of the County of Manukau; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I, Ronald Wood, County Clerk of the Manukau County Council, hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Manukau County Council on the 27th day of November 1962.

PETONE BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION LEVYING SECURITY RATE

Water Supply Loan 1962, £65,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and of all other powers it thereunto enabling, the Petone Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £65,000 authorised to be raised by the Petone Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the Water Supply Loan 1962, the said Petone Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of one hundred and sixty-seven four hundredths of a penny (167/400d.) in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable property in the Petone Borough comprising the whole of the Petone Borough; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WAIMATE WEST COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Rural Housing Loan 1962, £5,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waimate West County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of five thousand pounds (£5,000) authorised to be raised by the Waimate West County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing advances under the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Waimate West County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought one three pence (0·013d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the County of Waimate West; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable half-yearly, the first such payment to be made not later than six months after the date of payment of the first instalment and subsequently in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
