Secondly, All that area of water in Lake Whakamaru
bounded on the sides by parallel lines 50 yards apart extending 50 yards into the lake, with the shore ends of the boundaries at the public reserves northward of Mr J. Dunham's residence marked by orange and black marker posts.
SECOND SCHEDULE
- The area of lake firstly described in the First Schedule hereto shall be marked with black and orange marker posts placed on the lake shore at each end of each parallel line bounding the extremities of the area.
- The area of lake secondly described in the First Schedule hereto shall be marked as follows:
(a) Brightly painted marker buoys shall be moored at the lake end of each boundary line.
(b) At the edge of the water at normal lake level at the shore end of each boundary line there shall be placed a notice board measuring not less than 2 ft 6 in. by 2 ft painted orange with black letters.
(c) The aforesaid notice boards shall contain the following notice:
"NOTICE
Motor Launch Regulations 1962
Access lane to water ski-ing area. No landing or taking off from shore other than in this lane. Water ski-ing area extends approximately one-third of a mile north and south to orange and black marker posts on shore."
- Water skiers shall not land or take off from shore in the area firstly described in the First Schedule hereto.

Declaring an Area for Operation of Motor Launches and Water Skiers at the Elbow, Waikato River
Pursuant to the Motor Launch Regulations 1962, the Minister of Marine hereby declares that, for a period of two years from the date hereof and subject to compliance with the conditions set out in the Second Schedule hereto, the area of water firstly described in the First Schedule hereto, except the swimming area described in the Third Schedule hereto, shall not be subject to regulations 11 and 12 of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962 on any day from the 1st day of November in one year to the 15th day of April the following year, and the area of water secondly described in the First Schedule hereto shall not be subject to regulations 11 and 12 of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962 on any day from the 1st day of December in one year to the 15th day of April the following year.
FIRST SCHEDULE
Firstly, All that area of water in the Waikato River between a line across the river in a north-east south-west direction at the upstream end of Kaiwaka Island and a line across the river in an east direction from the southern side of the end of the Elbow Road.
Secondly, All that area of water in the Waikato River between a line across the river in an east direction from the southern side of the end of the Elbow Road and a line across the river from the old building known as the whitebait factory to a point on the opposite shore known as Te Pahikairarua.
SECOND SCHEDULE
- At the end of the Elbow Road where boats are launched and where it may easily be read there shall be placed a notice board measuring not less than 2 ft 6 in. by 2 ft, painted white with black letters.
- The aforesaid notice board shall contain the following notice:
"NOTICE
Motor Launch Regulations 1962
No speed restriction for motor launches and water skiers in area from end of Kaiwaka Island to ½ mile downstream of the Elbow Road except in buoyed swimming area and during the whitebait season in the area downstream of the Elbow Road."
- The boundary of swimming area as defined in the Third Schedule hereto shall be marked with brightly coloured marker buoys each 50 yd apart.
THIRD SCHEDULE
All that area of water in the bay at the end of the Elbow Road bounded by a line commencing at a point on the edge of the river 60 yd north of the northern side of the end of the Elbow Road and proceeding south-east along a right line a distance of 150 yd thence south to a point on the elbow.

Declaring Area Exempted from Portions of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962
Pursuant to the Motor Launch Regulations 1962, the Minister of Marine hereby declares that, for three months from the date hereof, subject to compliance with the conditions set out in the First Schedule hereto, regulations 11 and 12 of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962 shall not apply to the area described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
- At the place from which boats are launched and where it may be easily seen there shall be placed a notice board painted orange with black letters measuring not less than 2 ft 6 in. by 2 ft.
- The aforesaid notice board shall contain the following notice:
"NOTICE
Motor Launch Regulations 1962
Bathers and fishermen are warned that there is no speed restriction for launches and water skiers using Lake Pupuwharau."
SECOND SCHEDULE
All that area of water known as Lake Pupuwharau situated across the Tarawera River east of Kawerau.

Revoking Notice Declaring Areas to be Access Lanes for the Purposes of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962
Pursuant to the Motor Launch Regulations 1962, the Minister of Marine hereby revokes the notice of 28 November 1962* declaring access lanes in Lakes Rotorua, Rotoiti, and Rotoma.

Licensing Ronald George Lee to Use and Occupy a Part of the Foreshore of the Motunau River as a Site for a Slipway
Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licenses and permits Ronald George Lee, of Motunau Beach (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include his administrators, executors, or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction), to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of the Motunau River, as shown on plan marked M.D. 11405 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of erecting and maintaining thereon a slipway as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
CONDITIONS
- This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.
- The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day of December 1962.
- The premium payable by the licensee shall be five pounds (£5) and the annual sum so payable shall be five pounds (£5).

Notice is hereby given that the land described in the Schedule hereto has been acquired under the Forests Act 1949 as permanent State forest land. This notice cancels the notice published in the Gazette, 9 August 1962, No. 50, page 1298.
