Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Local Government Commission Act 1961,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council hereby makes
the following order.

ORDER

1. As on and from the 1st day of December 1962 the
   Mercer Town Council is hereby dissolved and the Town
   District of Mercer is hereby merged in the County of Franklin.
2. The dissolution of the said Town Council and the merger
   of the said town district in the said county shall be deemed
   to have been affected under the Counties Act 1956.

Exempting Land in the Westland Land District from the
Operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925

PURSUANT to the Coal Mines Act 1925, His Excellency the
Governor-General hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE
THE land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby exempted
from the operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925.

SCHEDULE
ALL that area of land containing 30·4 perches, more or less,
being Lot 87 on Deposited Plan 84 of the Township of
Blackball, and being part of Section 3, Block II, Mawheranui
Survey District, and being part of the land comprised in
certificate of title, Volume 28, folio 92 (Westland Registry),
save and excepting for Her Majesty the Queen all seams or
beds of coal and all other minerals and metals and reserving
always to Her Majesty the Queen and all persons lawfully
entitled to work the said coal, minerals, and metals a right
of ingress, egress, and regress under the said land.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General this 16th day of November 1962.
