TIMARU CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Sewage Disposal Loan 1962, £204,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Timaru City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charge on the loan of £204,000 to be known as the Sewage Disposal Loan 1962 authorised to be raised by the Timaru City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of undertaking and completing the works required in stage II of a scheme for the treatment and disposal of sewage from the city, the said Timaru City Council hereby makes a special rate of eight hundred and thirty-five thousandths of a penny (0·835d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Timaru; and that the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of 30 years, or until such loan is fully paid off.”
The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Timaru City Council held on the 12th day of November 1962.

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and amendment and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of forty-three thousand four hundred pounds (£43,400) to be known as the Redemption Loan No. 4 (1962), £43,400, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Waterworks Development Additional Loan 1952, £93,500 which matures on 24 March 1963, and the cost of raising the loan, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-eleventh of one penny (1/11 of 1d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of Auckland City comprising the whole of the City of Auckland; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”

MATAMATA COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Rural Housing Loan No. 8 1962, £50,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Matamata County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the repayment of and interest charges on a loan of £50,000, authorised to be raised by the Matamata County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making advances to farmers under the provisions of the Rural Housing Act 1959, the said Matamata County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought two six seven one (0·02671d.) pence in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the County of Matamata; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 15th day of November in each and every year during the currency of such loan.”
The foregoing resolution was passed at a duly constituted meeting of the Matamata County Council held on the 15th day of November 1962.

COUNTY OF STRATFORD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Rural Housing Loan No. 9 1962, £20,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Counties Act, and all other Acts and powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Stratford County Council hereby resolves:
“That for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, repayment of principal, and other charges on the Rural Housing Loan No. 9 1962, £20,000, to be raised by the Stratford County Council, the said county council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 5/32 pence in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the County of Stratford; and the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable on the 1st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WAITEMATA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Waitemata Electric Power Board Renewal Loan (1962) £60,000
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and amendments and regulations made thereunder respectively, and all other powers it enabling, the Waitemata Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing half-yearly instalments of interest and yearly instalments of principal and other charges on a loan of £60,000 authorised to be raised by the Waitemata Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned enactments in order to provide moneys for the repayment of the balance of £60,000 of the Waitemata Electric Power Board Reticulation Extension Loan (1953) £200,000—Part £100,000, the Waitemata Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 15/1000ths of a 1d. in the pound upon the rateable value (being the capital value) of all the rateable property within the whole of the Waitemata Electric Power District, as defined in the Proclamation appearing in the Gazette dated 18 October 1923, and amended by Proclamations appearing in the Gazettes dated 27 November 1924, 26 August 1926, 7 March 1929, 24 January 1935, 14 April 1954, and by section 44 of the Local Legislation Act 1961; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Gas Production (Stage 2) Loan 1961, £21,000
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that at a special meeting of the Greymouth Borough Council held on Monday, 11 December 1961, it was resolved that the Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge as security for the repayment of the said loan and for payment of the interest charges a special rate of 0·588 of a penny in the pound on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property within the borough.

AUCKLAND METROPOLITAN DRAINAGE BOARD
SPECIAL ORDER
Loan No. 32 1962, £27,000
THE Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board, in exercise of the powers vested in it by the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Act 1960, and in pursuance of the authority conferred upon it under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and in exercise of all other powers and authorities enabling it in that behalf, doth hereby resolve by special resolution intended to operate as a special order to borrow the sum of £27,000 (twenty-seven thousand pounds) as a special loan to be known as Loan No. 32 1962, £27,000, for the purpose of meeting costs and expenses incidental to the construction of extensions to the Manurewa Treatment Plant.
The foregoing special order was made by way of a special resolution passed at a special meeting of the Board held on the 3rd day of October 1962. It was publicly notified in the Auckland Star and the New Zealand Herald on the 13th and 27th days of October 1962, and confirmed at the ordinary meeting of the Board held on the 7th day of November 1962.
The common seal of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board was hereto affixed this 7th day of November 1962 in the presence of:
