Licensing the Auckland Hospital Board to Use and Occupy a
Part of the Foreshore and Bed of the Tamaki River as a
Site for a Connecting Sewer

Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine
hereby licenses and permits the Auckland Hospital Board
(hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include its
successors or assigns unless the context requires a different
construction) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and
bed of the Tamaki River, as shown on plan marked M.D.
11374 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department
at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a con-
necting sewer as shown on the said plan, such licence to be
held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the
terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

CONDITIONS

  1. This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regula-
    tions 1960, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so
    far as applicable, apply hereto.
  2. The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day
    of November 1962.
  3. The annual sum payable by the licensee shall be 1s.
    payable on demand.

Declaring an Area to be an Access Lane for the Purposes of
the Motor Launch Regulations 1962

Pursuant to the Motor Launch Regulations 1962, the Minis-
ter of Marine hereby declares that for two years from the date
hereof, subject to compliance with the conditions set out in
the Second Schedule hereto, the area of water described in the
First Schedule hereto shall be an access lane and that within
such lane regulations 11 and 12 of the Motor Launch
Regulations 1962 shall not apply.

FIRST SCHEDULE

All the waters of the Waikato River within 200 yards of
high-water mark bounded by parallel lines 100 yards apart
extending in a 020Β° (true) direction, the eastern boundary
commencing at a point on high-water mark bearing 266Β°
(true) and 46 chains from the western landward end of the
Port Waikato wharf.

SECOND SCHEDULE

Each of the boundaries outlined in the First Schedule shall
be marked as follows:

(a) Brightly painted marker buoys each 50 yards apart
commencing 50 yards from high-water mark shall be
suitably moored along each side of the access lane.
(b) At mean high-water mark there shall be placed a notice
board measuring not less than 2 ft 6 in. by 2 ft
painted white with black letters, which shall contain
the following notice:

"NOTICE

MOTOR LAUNCH REGULATIONS 1962

Access lane extends 200 yards into river through
which motor launches and water skiers may pass at
speeds greater than 5 miles per hour.

BATHERS KEEP OUT".

Licensing the Timaru City Council to Use and Occupy a Part
of the Foreshore and Bed of the Sea at Timaru as a Site for
a Sewerage Outfall Pipe Line

Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine
hereby licenses and permits the Timaru City Council (herein-
after called the licensee, which term shall include its successors
or assigns unless the context requires a different construction)
to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of the sea
at Timaru, as shown on plan marked M.D. 11366 and de-
posited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington,
for the purpose of erecting and maintaining thereon a sewer-
age outfall pipe as shown on the said plan, such licence to
be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the
terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

CONDITIONS

  1. This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regula-
    tions 1960, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so
    far as applicable, apply hereto.
  2. The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st
    day of November 1962.
  3. The annual sum payable by the licensee shall be 1s.
    payable on demand.

Licensing Lauchlan John MacKenzie to Use and Occupy a
Part of the Bed of the Waiau River as a Site for the
Operation of a Punt

Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine
hereby licenses and permits Lauchlan John MacKenzie, of
Duncragen (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall
include his executors, administrators, or assigns, unless the
context requires a different construction), to use and occupy
a part of the bed of the Waiau River as shown on plan
marked M.D. 11360 and deposited in the office of the Marine
Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining
punt winching wires thereon, as shown on the said plan, such
licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and
subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule
hereto.

SCHEDULE

CONDITIONS

  1. This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regula-
    tions 1960, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so
    far as applicable, apply hereto.
  2. The annual sum payable by the licensee shall be 1s.,
    payable on demand.
  3. The term of this licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day
    of November 1962.
  4. Warning notices are to be erected 200 yards upstream and
    downstream of the punt, on each side of the river, large
    enough to be readily seen from boats using the river, and at
    each end of the submerged wire.

Open Season for Game (Canada Goose) in North Canterbury
Acclimatisation District

Pursuant to the Wildlife Act 1953, the Minister of Internal
Affairs declares an open season for Canada geese only, within
that portion of the North Canterbury Acclimatisation District
described in the First Schedule hereto, during the period
and subject to the conditions specified in the Second Schedule
hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE

Area for an Open Season for Canada Geese

All that area in the Canterbury Land District bounded by a
line commencing at a point on the sea coast in line with the
middle of Beach Road, near Poranui, Block VIII, Ellesmere
Survey District, and proceeding north-westerly generally to
and along the middle lines of that road and the Christchurch-
Akaroa No. 75 State Highway to a point in line with the
middle of Duck Pond Road at Motukarara; thence south-
westerly to and along the middle of that road, the crossing
of the channel of the Halswell River to a point in line with
the middle of Ridge Road; thence north-westerly generally
along the middle lines of Ridge Road, Neills Road, Davidsons
Road, and Pannetts Road to the right bank of the Selwyn
River at Coes Ford; thence north-westerly generally along
that river bank to the middle of Leeston-Christchurch Road;
thence south-westerly along the middle lines of Leeston-
Christchurch Road, High Street, Feredays Road, and Wabys
Road to the middle of North Rakaia Road; thence south-
easterly along the middle of that road and its production to
the sea coast; thence easterly along the sea coast to the point
of commencement.

SECOND SCHEDULE

Conditions to Apply During Open Season for Canada
Geese

Duration of season: 26 January to 10 March 1963 inclusive.
Shooting hours: 24 hours per day.
Daily bag limit: No limit.

Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part XXIV of the
Maori Affairs Act 1953 (Kawhia Development Scheme)

Pursuant to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the
Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that on the date of
the publication of this notice in the Gazette the land described
in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the pro-
visions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the said
land being so subject by virtue of a notice dated 12 May 1931
and published in the Gazette, 14 May 1931, Volume II,
page 1464.
