Crown Land Set Apart as Permanent State Forest Land

A PROCLAMATION

Pursuant to section 18 of the Forests Act 1949, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as permanent State forest land.

SCHEDULE

TARNAKI LAND DISTRICT-WELLINGTON CONSERVANCY

SECTIONS 8 and 9, Block I, and Sections 2, 5, 6, and 7, Block V, Pouatu Survey District; and Sections 2 and 9, Block XIII, Waro Survey District, situated in Clifton and Stratford Counties: Area, 7,957 acres, more or less. As shown on plan No. 61/12 deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (S.O. Plans 1306, 1359, 1580, 1689, 1694, and 1768.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 16th day of November 1962.

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT-WELLINGTON CONSERVANCY

SUBDIVISION 2 of Section 5, Block IV, Pouatu Survey District; and Section 6, and Subdivision 2 of Section 3, Block XVI, Waro Survey District, situated in Taumarunui County: Area, 1,733 acres 3 roods, more or less. As shown on plan No. 51/17 deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (S.O. Plans 4991, 6423, and 8016.)

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto by way of loan of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.

Revoking an Order in Council Authorising the Otago Central Electric Power Board to Use Water from the Teviot River for the Purpose of Generating Electricity

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928 and the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, and with the consent of the licensee, hereby revokes the Order in Council dated the 3rd day of March 1952 and published in the Gazette on the 6th day of the same month at page 337, authorising the Teviot Electric Power Board to use water from the Teviot River for the purpose of generating electricity, the rights conferred by the said Order in Council having become vested in the Otago Central Electric Power Board by virtue of section 18 of the Otago Central Electric Power Board Empowering Act 1959.
