WM. A. TAAFFE LTD.
NOTICE is hereby given that the order of the Supreme Court
of New Zealand dated the 2nd day of November 1962
confirming the reduction of capital of the above-named
company from £6,000 to £3,000, and the minute approved
by the Court showing, with respect to the capital of the
company as altered, the several particulars required by the
above-mentioned Act, was registered by the Registrar of
Companies on the 8th day of November 1962. The said
minute is in the words and figures following:
“The capital of Wm. A. Taaffe Ltd. is £3,000 divided into
6,000 fully paid ordinary shares of 10s. each, having been
reduced from £6,000 divided into 6,000 shares of £1 each
fully paid.”

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP
PURSUANT to sections 39 and 40 of the Partnership Act 1908,
Holland and Hannen and Cubitts Ltd., a duly incorporated
company having its registered office at London in England,
W. Williamson Construction Co. Ltd., a duly incorporated
company having its registered office at Christchurch in New
Zealand, Conrad Zschokke Ltd., a duly incorporated corpora-
tion having its registered office at Geneva in Switzerland,
Munro and Miller Ltd., a duly incorporated company having
its registered office at Glasgow in Scotland, and Holland and
Hannen and Cubitts (N.Z.) Ltd., a duly incorporated com-
pany having its registered office at Wellington in New Zea-
land, hereby give notice that the partnership carried on in
New Zealand by them as civil engineers under the firm name
of “International Contractors” as a joint venture shall be
dissolved as from the 5th day of February 1963. All claims
against the partnership should forthwith be lodged with
Messrs Barr, Burgess, and Stewart, Public Accountants,
G.P.O. Box 243, Wellington, New Zealand.

ROXBURGH BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Hall Improvements and Council Chambers Loan No. 3, 1962,
of £2,500.
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Rox-
burgh Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges
on a loan of £2,500 authorised to be raised by the Roxburgh
Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the
purpose of meeting further costs in connection with the
erecti on of a new Council Chambers and Library and adding
to and renovating the Town Hall and dance hall, the said
Roxburgh Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of
one and one-half pence (1½d.) in the pound (£) upon the
rateable value (upon the basis of annual value) of all
rateable property of the Borough of Roxburgh, comprising
the whole of the Borough of Roxburgh; and that the special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of
the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of November
in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being
a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a
resolution passed by the Roxburgh Borough Council at a
meeting held on the 6th day of November 1962.

NEW LYNN BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
NOTICE is given that the following resolution was passed at
a meeting of the New Lynn Borough Council held on the
7th day of November 1962:
“That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in
it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956,
the New Lynn Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges
on a loan of £216,000 authorised to be raised by the New
Lynn Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for
the purpose of constructing various streets to permanent
levels including kerbing and channelling, bitumen sealed
carriageways, concrete footpaths, and stormwater drainage,
the said New Lynn Borough Council hereby makes and
levies a special rate of one decimal eight seven five pence
(1·875d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the
basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in
the Borough of New Lynn; and that such special rate shall
be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such
loan and be payable on the 1st day of August in each and
every year during the currency of such loan, being a period
of twenty (20) years, or until such loan is fully paid off.”

CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Electricity Extension Loan 1962, £175,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its
amendments and all other powers it in that behalf enabling,
the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing principal, interest, and
other charges on a loan of one hundred and seventy-five
thousand pounds (£175,000) authorised to be raised by the
Christchurch City Council under the above-mentioned Act
for the purpose of extending the distribution system and
electrical reticulation of the Council’s electricity under-
taking, the said Christchurch City Council hereby makes and
levies a special rate of seven hundred and seventeen/five thou-
sandths of a penny (717/5000d.) in the pound (£0·0005975)
on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value)
of all rateable property comprised within the City of Christ-
church; and that such special rate shall be an annually
recurring rate payable on demand during the currency of the
said loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the
loan is fully paid off.”
The Christchurch City Council, at a meeting held on 7
November 1962, passed the above resolution.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Parking Building Loan 1962, £248,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its
amendments and all other powers it in that behalf enabling,
the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing principal, interest, and
other charges on a loan of two hundred and forty-eight
thousand pounds (£248,000) authorised to be raised by the
Christchurch City Council under the above-mentioned Act
for the purpose of erecting an off-street parking building, the
said Christchurch City Council hereby makes and levies a
special rate of five hundred and sixty-seven/six thousand two
hundred and fifty thousandths of a penny (567/6250d.) in the
pound (£0·000378) on the rateable value (on the basis of
the unimproved value) of all rateable property comprised
within the City of Christchurch; and that such special rate
shall be an annually recurring rate payable on demand during
the currency of the said loan, being a period of thirty-five
(35) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The Christchurch City Council, at a meeting held on 7
November 1962, passed the above resolution.

Pensioners’ Cottages (Dunarnan Street) Loan 1962, £48,400
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its
amendments and all other powers it in that behalf enabling,
the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing principal, interest, and
other charges on a loan of forty-eight thousand four hundred
pounds (£48,400) authorised to be raised by the Christchurch
City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose
of erecting accommodation for aged persons, the said Christ-
church City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate
of eighty-seven/six thousand two hundred and fifty thou-
sandths of a penny (87/6250d.) in the pound (£0·000058)
on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value)
of all rateable property comprised within the City of Christ-
church; and that such special rate shall be an annually
recurring rate payable on demand during the currency of the
said loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the
loan is fully paid off.”
The Christchurch City Council, at a meeting held on
7 November 1962, passed the above resolution.
