Reservation of Land and Vesting in the Invercargill City Council

Pursuant to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Lands hereby sets apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as reserves for recreation and, further, pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, vests the said reserves in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Invercargill, in trust, for that purpose.

Definition of the Purpose of a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby defines the purpose to which the public reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall be dedicated as scenic and, further, pursuant to section 21 of the said Act, appoints the New Plymouth Scenic Reserves Board to control and manage the said reserve subject to the provisions of the said Act as a scenic reserve to be known as the Cantlop Scenic Reserve.

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT—CANTLOP SCENIC RESERVE

Lot 2, D.P. 6054, being part Sections 74 and 834, Grey District, situated in the City of New Plymouth: Area, 3 acres and 24·22 perches, more or less. Balance of certificates of title, Volume 140, folio 217, and Volume 56, folio 114 (excepting in both cases the land in Transfer No. 69278, being street), and together with right of way created by T. 96902.

Cancellation of the Vesting in the Hawera Borough Council and Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby cancels the vesting in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Hawera, and revokes the reservation for recreation purposes over the lands described in the Schedule hereto.

Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953 (Ranana Development Scheme)

Pursuant to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that on the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette the land described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the said land being so subject by virtue of a notice dated 21 March 1931 and published in the Gazette, 26 March 1931, Volume I, page 720.
