Directing the Revision of District Valuation Rolls

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 31st day of
October 1962
Present:
His Excellency the Administrator of the Government
in Council
Pursuant to the Valuation of Land Act 1951, His Excellency
the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby directs
that the district valuation rolls for the districts enumerated
in the Schedule hereto shall be revised by the Valuer-General
as at 1 November 1962.

SCHEDULE

Boroughs: Cambridge, Cromwell, Foxton, Helensville,
Oamaru, Paeroa, Petone
City: Napier.
Counties: Hutt, Maniototo, Oroua, Patangata, Rotorua, Waipa,
Whangaroa

His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council,
hereby sets apart the Maori freehold land described in the
Schedule hereto as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a
church site for the common use and benefit of the adherents
of the Ratana faith.

of the members of the Tuhoe tribe.

Exempting Certain Maori Lands from Rates

Pursuant to section 104 of the Rating Act 1925, His Excell-
lency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
exempts the Maori freehold lands named in the Schedule
hereto from all rates made or levied by any local authority
under the provisions of the Rating Act 1925.

Appointing a Deputy Member of the Town and Country
Planning Appeal Board

H. E. BARROWCLOUGH, Administrator of the Government
Pursuant to section 39 of the Town and Country Planning
Act 1953, I, Major-General the Right Honourable Sir Harold
Eric Barrowclough, the Administrator of the Government of
New Zealand, hereby appoint
George Herbert Wakelin, Esquire,
of Wellington, solicitor, to be deputy of John William Kealy,
Esquire, at any meeting of the Town and Country Planning
Appeal Board held prior to December 1962 from which the
said John William Kealy is absent.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of
the Government, this 2nd day of November 1962.

Pursuant to section 16 of the New Zealand Army Act 1950,
His Excellency the Administrator of the Government has been
pleased to approve of the following appointments, promotions,
transfers, resignations, and retirements of officers of the New
Zealand Army:

PROVOST MARSHAL

Lieutenant-Colonel R. H. F. Holloway, RNZA, is appointed
Provost Marshal to the New Zealand Army, in addition to
his appointment as Deputy Adjutant-General. Dated 1 Octo-
ber 1962.

ROYAL REGIMENT OF N.Z. ARTILLERY
Regular Force
Major R. D. P. Hassett, M.B.E., to be acting Lieutenant-
Colonel. Dated 12 October 1962.
Territorial Force
1st Field Regiment, RNZA
Lieutenant Graeme Stanley Nolan is transferred to the
Reserve of Officers, General List, Royal Regiment of N.Z.
Artillery, in the rank of Lieutenant. Dated 19 September 1962.
2nd Lieutenant M. Lovegrove to be Lieutenant. Dated 29
July 1962.
2nd Field Regiment, RNZA
Lieutenant (temp. Captain) Jeffery Beaumont is transferred
to the Reserve of Officers, General List, Royal Regiment of
N.Z. Artillery, in the rank of Captain. Dated 25 July 1962.
1st Locating Battery, RNZA
Lieutenant Laurie James Price is posted to the Retired List
in the rank of Captain. Dated 1 August 1962.

THE CORPS OF ROYAL N.Z. ENGINEERS
Regular Force
Captain and Quartermaster H. C. Stuart, having reached
retiring age for rank, is transferred to the Supernumerary List
and re-engaged until 31 March 1964. Dated 23 October 1962.
