Street Closed in the City of New Plymouth

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, I, Major-General the Right Honourable Sir Harold Eric Barrowclough, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as closed the street described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of street containing 35·2 perches situated in the City of New Plymouth, Taranaki R.D., adjoining or passing through Sections 2320 (D.P. 2159), 2321, 2322, 2353, and part Sections 2323 (D.P. 2159), 2324 (D.P. 2159), Town of New Plymouth, and part Section H (D.P. 3524), New Plymouth Town Belt; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 6376 (S.O. 9341) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 17th day of October 1962.

PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, I, Major-General the Right Honourable Sir Harold Eric Barrowclough, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the portion of street described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby closed and added to the land now held for a public school described in the Second Schedule hereto.

Altering the Boundaries of the Hawke’s Bay and King Country Electric Power Districts

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, I, Major-General the Right Honourable Sir Harold Eric Barrowclough, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby alter the boundaries of the Hawke’s Bay and King Country Electric Power Districts by excluding the area described in the First Schedule hereto from the King Country Electric Power District, and by including that area in the Hawke’s Bay Electric Power District; and, further, I hereby declare that the boundaries of the Hawke’s Bay and King Country Electric Power Districts shall be those described in the Second and Third Schedules hereto respectively.

FIRST SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, Taupo County, situated in Blocks VII, VIII, and XIII, Kaweka Survey District, and Blocks I to XI (inclusive), Pohue Survey District, containing 85 square miles approximately, bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the Mohaka River in Block VII, Kaweka Survey District, in line with Trig. Stations I and G (Te Matai) and proceeding north-easterly along that right line to Trig. Station G; thence south-easterly along a right line to Trig. Station III and then north-westerly along a right line towards Trig. Station E to its intersection with the northern boundary of Pohue Survey District; thence along a right line due east, being that northern boundary to and north-easterly along the north-western boundary of Section 5, Block IV, Pohue Survey District, and its production to and down the middle of the Waipunga River to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of the said Section 5; thence south-westerly to and along that boundary to its intersection with the line running due east, being the northern boundary of Pohue Survey District; thence due east along that boundary, to and due south along the eastern boundary of the said Pohue Survey District and its production to and up the middle of the Mohaka River to the point of commencement. As the said area is shown on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 595 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington, and thereon outlined in yellow.

SECOND SCHEDULE

HAWKE’S BAY ELECTRIC POWER DISTRICT

ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District comprising parts of the Counties of Hawke’s Bay, Patangata, Taupo, Waipawa, and Wairoa, the Cities of Napier and Hastings, and the Boroughs of Taradale and Havelock North, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the sea coast in line with the northern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 3216, in Block III, Waimarama Survey District, and proceeding westerly and then southerly along the northern and western boundaries of that lot, to and westerly along the southern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 3215, to the eastern boundary of Section 46, Block VII, Oero Survey District; thence northerly along the last-mentioned boundary, the crossing of Waipoapoa Road, and the eastern boundaries of Sections 7, 6, 5, and 4, all Block III, Oero Survey District; thence westerly along the northern boundary of the last-mentioned section and its production to the middle of the Hawea Stream, including the crossing of the Otane-Tukituki via Elsthorpe Road; thence down the middle of that stream, to and up the middle of the Tukituki River, to and up the middle of the Papanui Stream to the middle of Waitukai Road; thence north-easterly generally along the middle of that road, to and westerly and northerly generally along the middle of Papanui-te-Aute Road and Boundary Road to a point in line with the western side of the Wellington-Napier Railway; thence northerly to and along that side of the said railway to the southern boundary of Papaaruhe 2B Block; thence westerly along that boundary and the southern boundary of Papaaruhe 2A Block, to and northerly along the western boundary of that block to the north-eastern boundary of Papaaruhe 4A Block; thence north-westerly along that north-eastern boundary and its production to the middle of No. 2 State Highway; thence southerly along the middle of that highway to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Papaaruhe 4B Block; thence north-westerly to and along that boundary, and southerly along the western boundary to the north-eastern boundary of Poupoutahi C Block; thence north-westerly along that boundary and the north-eastern boundary of Poupoutahi D 2 Block; thence south-westerly along the north-western boundary of that block to the north-eastern boundary of Lot 29, D.P. 4416; thence north-westerly along that boundary and the north-eastern boundaries of Section 1, Block XV, and Section 1, Block XIV, both Maraekakaho Survey District, including the crossing of Te Onepu Road to the northernmost corner of the last-mentioned Section 1; thence north-westerly along a right line to a point in the middle of the Mangaonuku Stream in line with the north-western boundary of Section 1, Block X, Maraekakaho Survey District; thence up the middle of that stream to the middle of No. 50 State Highway as defined on S.O. Plan 1890, red, in Block V, Maraekakaho Survey District; thence north-easterly along the middle of that highway, to and again up the middle of the aforementioned stream to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Block 3, Gwavas Crown Grant District, in Block IV, Wakarara Survey District; thence north-westerly to and along that boundary and south-westerly along the north-western boundary of that block, and Blocks 1 and 5 and again 1, all Gwavas Crown Grant District, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the Manga-mauku Stream; thence up the middle of that stream to its intersection with the north-eastern boundary of Section 1 Block XI, Wakarara Survey District, and north-westerly along that boundary to the northernmost point of the said Section 1; thence again north-westerly along a right line to the junction of the Makaroro River and the Makaroro Stream (east of Section 8, Block IX, Wakarara Survey District) and along a right line in the direction of Trig. Station 30 (Aorangi) to the summit of the Ruahine Range; thence northerly generally along the summit of that range to Trig. Station Y on the western boundary of Block XVIII, Ngaruroro Survey District; thence north-easterly along a right line to a point in the middle of the Taruarau River in Block II, Ngaruroro Survey District, in line with the south-western boundary of Block 78,
