COUNTY OF CLIFTON

WORKERS HOUSING LOAN 1962, SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Clifton County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £3,000 authorised to be raised by the Clifton County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing workers housing, the said Clifton County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought one three eight six nine (0·013869d.) pence in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the area of the County of Clifton; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of November in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off; and that the said special rate be and is hereby pledged and appropriated as security for the said loan and that all moneys received by way of levy be utilised in discharge of the annual instalments under the above-mentioned loan.”

I certify that the above resolution was duly carried at a meeting of the Clifton County Council held on 12 October 1962, and is entered in the minute book of the Council at page 70.

MATAMATA COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

NOTICE is hereby given that the Matamata County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for road; and notice is hereby further given that a plan showing the land proposed to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk of the above Council situated at Tirau and is there open for inspection. All persons affected by the taking of the said land who have any well-grounded objections thereto must state the same in writing and lodge the same at the office of the County Clerk within 40 days from the first publication of this notice.

OAMARU BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR STREET (REGINA LANE)

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and in the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Oamaru Borough Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, the laying out of the Regina Lane as a public street, and for the purposes of such public work the parcels of land described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken for street; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Oamaru Borough Council situated in Thames Street and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing and send the same, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, namely, the 14th day of October 1962, to the Town Clerk at the Council Chambers, Thames Street, Oamaru.

HAWERA COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROAD AND TO CLOSE ROAD

In the matter of the Counties Act 1956 and the Public Works Act 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Hawera County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute by way of special order the taking of land and the closing of road on the Ahipaipa Road in order to improve alignment, and the taking of land at the intersection of the Inuawai Road with the Ahipaipa Road in order to improve visibility, and for the purpose of such public works the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken and closed; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken and closed is deposited in the public office of the Hawera County Council situated in Princess Street, Hawera, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public works or by the taking of such lands and closing of such road who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public works or to the taking of the said lands or the closing of the said road must state their objections in writing and send the same, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers, Princess Street, Hawera.

The above special order will be confirmed at an ordinary meeting of the Council to be held in the Council Chambers, Hawera, on 13 December 1962, at 10 a.m.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-named Acts and all other Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that behalf, to execute a certain public work, namely, for a street in Washington Avenue in the City of Wellington; and for the purpose of that public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council in the Municipal Office Building, Mercer Street, in the said city, and is there open for inspection, without fee,
