Road Excluded from Speed Limitation and Limited Speed Zone Declared
Pursuant to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:
-
The road specified in the First Schedule hereto is hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 36 of the Transport Act 1949.

The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956.*
FIRST SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Invercargill City—
Stead Street (from the access road to the Invercargill Airport to Curran Road).
SECOND SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Invercargill City and Southland County—
Stead Street (from the access road to the Invercargill Airport to Dunns Road).
Dunns Road (from Stead Street to Oreti Beach).

Approved School of Instruction for Motor Cycle Drivers
Pursuant to regulation 8 of the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940,* the Minister of Transport hereby approves as a school of instruction for the purpose of the said regulation the organisation described in the Schedule hereto.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940
Pursuant to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the persons hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:
A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the persons described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise them to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of their employment for the employers described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise them, while they are under the age of 18 years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.
