BOROUGH OF OAMARU


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Oamaru Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £33,000 authorised to be raised by the Oamaru Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the installing of new sewers in the Redcastle area, the said Oamaru Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·2964d. in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Oamaru comprising the whole of the Borough; and that the annual rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a term of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Oamaru Borough Council held on Monday, 25 September 1962.

TEMUKA BOROUGH COUNCIL


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Temuka Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges of a loan of £17,000 authorised to be raised by the Temuka Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting a new fire station and purchasing a new fire appliance, the Temuka Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 2·06d. (two and six hundredths of a penny) in the pound upon the rateable value of all the rateable property within the Borough of Temuka; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

TIMARU CITY COUNCIL


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


Theatre Renovation Loan 1962, £32,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Timaru City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charge on the loan of £32,000 to be known as the Theatre Renovation Loan 1962 authorised to be raised by the Timaru City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing the repair and renovation of the Theatre Royal, the said Timaru City Council hereby makes a special rate of one hundred and thirty-one thousandths of a penny (0·131d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Timaru; and that the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of 16 years, or until such loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Timaru City Council held on the 1st day of October 1962.

HOKIANGA COUNTY COUNCIL


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


Staff Housing Loan 1961, No. 3

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hokianga County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £7,000 authorised to be raised by the Hokianga County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting or purchasing existing dwellings within the County of Hokianga, the said Hokianga County Council hereby makes a special rate of ⅛d. (one-eighth of a penny) in the pound (£) on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property within the County of Hokianga; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Hokianga County Council held on 19 September 1962.

PALMERSTON NORTH CITY COUNCIL


NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND


In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Palmerston North City Council intends to take, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, the lands described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of a service lane. A plan of the said lands is deposited at the public office of the Palmerston North City Council at Palmerston North and is there open for inspection by all persons at all reasonable hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said lands are hereby required and called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands and to send such writing, within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk of the Palmerston North City Council.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Waiheke Road Board proposes to execute a certain public work, namely, the construction of a new access way; and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk of the said Board situated in Belgium Street, Ostend, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.
