Reservation of Land and Declaration that Land be Part of
Kirk's Bush Scenic Reserve

Pursuant to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Lands hereby
sets apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as a
reserve for scenic purposes and, further, pursuant to the
Reserves and Domains Act 1953, declares the said reserve to
form part of the Kirk’s Bush Scenic Reserve, to be administered as a scenic reserve by the Kirk’s Bush Scenic Board.

SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT—PART KIRK'S BUSH SCENIC RESERVE
LOTS 1 and 2, D.P. 47965, being part Allotment 11, Opaheke Parish, situated in Block IV, Drury Survey District: Area,
1 rood 17-5 perches, more or less.

Reservation of Land and Declaration that Land be Part of the
Duntroon Domain

Pursuant to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Lands hereby
sets apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as a
reserve for recreation purposes and, further, pursuant to the
Reserves and Domains Act 1953, declares the said reserve
to be a public domain, subject to the provisions of Part III of the last-mentioned Act, to form part of the Duntroon Domain to be administered as a public domain by the Domain Board.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT
LOT 2, D.P. 10331, being part Section 1, Block IV, Maerewhenua Survey District: Area, 2 roods 22-9 perches, more or less. Subject to rights of way in favour of Lots 9, 13, and 14, Block II, D.P. 218, being part Section 1, Block IV,
Maerewhenua Survey District.

Cancellation of the Vesting in the Christchurch City Council
and Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister
of Lands hereby cancels the vesting in the Mayor, Councillors,
and Citizens of the City of Christchurch and revokes the reservation for recreation purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT
RESERVE 4575, situated in the City of Christchurch: Area,
28.3 perches, more or less. (S.O. Plan 8161.)

Cancellation of the Vesting in the Amuri County Council
and Revocation of the Reservation Over Part of a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister
of Lands hereby cancels the vesting in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Amuri and revokes
the reservation for water supply purposes over the land
described in the Schedule hereto.

District: Area 2.1 perches, more or less, as shown on plan,

Rules for Election of Members of Fire Boards and Fire
Committees Approved

Pursuant to the Fire Services Act 1949, His Excellency the
Administrator of the Government has approved the following
rules made by the fire insurance companies carrying on
business in New Zealand.

RULES FOR ELECTION OF REPRESENTATIVES OF INSURANCE COMPANIES TO FIRE BOARDS AND FIRE COMMITTEES

Rule 2
Delete and substitute—
The elections of members of Fire Boards and Fire Committees by insurance companies in the month of February 1963, and in the same month in every third year thereafter, shall be held on a day in that month to be appointed by the General Secretary of the Council of Fire and Accident Underwriters’ Associations of New Zealand.

Rule 3
Delete and substitute—
When an extraordinary vacancy occurs in the office of a
member of a Fire Board or Fire Committee elected by
insurance companies, the Minister or such person as he appoints for the purpose shall notify the General Secretary of the Council of Fire and Accident Underwriters’ Association of New Zealand of the vacancy and an election to fill that vacancy shall be held within one month of the receipt by the General Secretary of that notice.

Rule 7
Delete and substitute—
Should the number of persons so nominated not exceed
the number to be elected these persons shall be deemed to be duly elected, and the Returning Officer in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, or Dunedin, or his deputy, shall transmit, in writing, the names of the persons so elected to the General Secretary of the Council of Fire and Accident Underwriters’ Associations of New Zealand, who shall thereupon report such election to the Minister of such person as is nominated by him.

Rule 10
Delete and substitute—
The result of the election shall be reported in the manner
provided for in clause 7 to the Minister or such person as
is nominated by him.

Varying Notice of Declaration of State Highways

Pursuant to section 11 of the National Roads Act 1953,
the National Roads Board, acting with the written approval
of the Minister of Works, hereby gives notice that it varies
the notice declaring public highways to be State highways dated 9 March 1960, published in the Gazette, 24 March 1960, Vol. I, page 384, by deleting from the Schedule to the said notice the paragraph described in the First Schedule hereto, and substituting therefor the paragraph set out in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE
PARAGRAPH deleted from the North Island section of Part II of the Schedule to the said notice:
Thames—
No. 25 State Highway. From the southern boundary of the Borough of Thames, along Jellicoe Crescent, Queen Street, Burke Street, Tararu Road, Graham Street, to the northern boundary of the borough.

SECOND SCHEDULE
PARAGRAPH substituted in the North Island section of Part II of the Schedule to the said notice;
Thames—
No. 25 State Highway. From the southern boundary of the Borough of Thames along Jellicoe Crescent, Queen Street, Tararu Road, to the northern boundary of the borough.
