Licensing the Manapouri-Doubtful Sound Tourist Co. Ltd. to Use and Occupy Parts of the Bed of Lake Manapouri and of the Foreshore and Bed of the Sea in Doubtful Sound as Sites for 12 Jetties and Two Slipways

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licenses and permits the Manapouri-Doubtful Sound Tourist Co. Ltd. (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include its successors or assigns unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy parts of the bed of Lake Manapouri and of the foreshore and bed of the sea in Doubtful Sound, as described in the First Schedule hereto at locations as shown on plan marked M.D. 11337 deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon 12 jetties and two slipways in accordance with the plans set forth in the First Schedule hereto and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Second Schedule hereto.

SECOND SCHEDULE
CONDITIONS

  1. This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

  2. The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day of September 1962.

  3. The premium payable by the licensee shall be two pounds (Β£2) and the annual sum so payable shall be three pounds (Β£3).

  4. The master of every vessel discharging ballast at the said jetties shall deposit such ballast above high-water mark, or at such place as may be approved by the Minister or by any person appointed by the Minister for that purpose.

  5. The licensee shall not be entitled to any compensation in respect of any loss arising from the alteration of the level of Lake Manapouri for hydro-electric purposes.

Licensing the Gore Boat and Water Ski Club (Inc.) of Gore to Use and Occupy a Part of the Bed of Lake Wakatipu at Kingston as a Site for a Causeway, Rock Jetty, Launching Ramp, and Ski Jump

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licenses and permits the Gore Boat and Water Ski Club (Inc.) of Gore (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include its successors or assigns unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the bed of Lake Wakatipu at Kingston, as shown on plan marked M.D. 11218 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a causeway, rock jetty, launching ramp, and ski jump as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.
