of the Hawke's Bay Catchment Board, Appointing Four
Non-elective Members of the Board, and Fixing the Election
Date for Representatives of District Newly Included in
Catchment District

Present:
His Excellency The Administrator of the Government
in Council
WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the 3rd day of August
1949, published in Gazette, 4 August 1949, Vol. II, page 1625,
as amended by Order in Council dated the 4th day of October
1949, published in Gazette, 6 October 1949, Vol. III, page
2405, five persons were appointed to be non-elective members
of the Hawke's Bay Catchment Board:
And whereas by Order in Council dated the 12th day of
September 1962, published in Gazette, 13 September 1962,
Vol. III, page 1502, the number of non-elective members of
the said Catchment Board was reduced from five to four, and
representation was given to a combined district not already
represented on the Board:
Now, therefore, pursuant to the Soil Conservation and
Rivers Control Act 1941, His Excellency the Administrator
of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, hereby
(i) Revokes the said Orders in Council dated the 3rd day
of August 1949 and the 4th day of October 1949;
(ii) Appoints the persons holding for the time being the
offices of
District Commissioner of Works, Ministry of
Works, Napier,
Commissioner of Crown Lands, Department of
Lands and Survey, Napier,
Fields Instructor, Department of Agriculture,
Hastings, and
Officer in Charge, New Zealand Forest Service,
Napier,
to be non-elective members of the Hawke's Bay Catchment
Board; and
(iii) Fixes the date of the first election of the representatives
of the new combined district on the Hawke's
Bay Catchment Board as described in the said
Order in Council dated the 12th day of September
1962, as Saturday, the 13th day of October 1962.

His Excellency The Governor-General in Council
PURSUANT to section 175 of the Harbours Act 1950, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises
the Auckland Harbour Board to reclaim from the sea in the
Pahurere Inlet, Manukau Harbour, the land shown as edged
red on plan marked M.D. 11334 and deposited in the office
of the Marine Department at Wellington.

Appointments, Promotions, and Terminations of Appointment
in the Royal New Zealand Navy
His Excellency the Governor-General has, pursuant to the
Navy Act 1954, approved the following appointments, promotions,
and termination of appointment in the Royal New
Zealand Navy.
Lieutenant C. J. Steward promoted to rank of Lieutenant
Commander, to date 1 August 1962.
Electrical Lieutenant F. L. Short, short service engagement
extended for one year from 6 February 1964.
Engineer Lieutenant G. L. Ward, RN, entered as Engineer
Lieutenant under a three year short service commission with
seniority of 1 October 1947, to date 21 September 1962.
Sub-Lieutenant (SD) R. F. Connell released (nine years'
seniority) to date 3 September 1962, and placed on the
Retired List, to date 4 September 1962.
Sub-Lieutenant B. E. Allpress, RNZNVR, entered on the
Supplementary List under a short-service commission in the
rank of Acting Sub-Lieutenant with seniority of 1 January
1961, to date 28 July 1962.
