In the matter of the Companies Act 1955 and in the matter of Street Consolidated Industries Ltd.

NOTICE is hereby given that, at an extraordinary general meeting held on the 23rd day of August 1962, the above-named company passed the following special resolution:

“That the company be wound up voluntarily and that Ronald Edward Hosking, of Hamilton, accountant, be and is hereby appointed liquidator for the purpose of such winding up.”

Notice is hereby given that, by duly signed entry in the minute book of the above-named company on the 5th day of September 1962, the following extraordinary resolution was passed by the company, namely:

“That the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business and that it is advisable to wind up, and that accordingly the company be wound up voluntarily.”

NAPIER CITY COUNCIL

Resolution Making Special Rate

Camping Ground Improvements Loan 1962, £25,000

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Napier City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of twenty-five thousand pounds (£25,000) authorised to be raised by the Napier City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting eight motel flats and eight serviced motel flats on Kennedy Park Motor Camp, the said Napier City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal two six six (0·266) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the City of Napier; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of three to eight years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

TIMARU CITY COUNCIL

Resolution Making Special Rate

Street Improvement Loan 1962, £60,000

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Timaru City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charge on the loan of £60,000 to be known as the Street Improvement Loan 1962 authorised to be raised by the Timaru City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of reconstructing, forming, widening, and sealing streets in the city, the said Timaru City Council hereby makes a special rate of four hundred and thirty-three thousandths of a penny (0·433d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Timaru; and that the said special rate shall be an annually-recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of 10 years, or until such loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Timaru City Council held on the 27th day of August 1962.

Resolution Making Special Rate

Wainuiomata Fire Engine Loan 1962, £5,000

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hutt County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £5,000 authorised to be raised by the Hutt County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purchase of a fully-equipped fire engine for the Wainuiomata Urban Fire Authority, the said Hutt County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·116 pence in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Wainuiomata Riding of the County of Hutt; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 12 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Paraparaumu Fire Engine Loan 1962, £5,000

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hutt County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £5,000 authorised to be raised by the Hutt County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purchase of a fully-equipped fire engine for the Paraparaumu Secondary Fire Authority, the said Hutt County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·0577 pence in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Kapiti, Raumati, and Whareroa Ridings of the County of Hutt; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 12 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

INVERCARGILL CITY COUNCIL

Resolution Making Special Rate

Water Supply Loan 1962, £29,500

“THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £29,500 authorised to be raised by the Invercargill City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing the works for which the Water Supply Loan 1956, £356,000, and the Water Supply Completion Loan 1960, £55,000, were raised, the said Invercargill City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought five six pence (0·056d.) in the pound on the rateable value, on the basis of the unimproved value, of all rateable property in the City of Invercargill; and that the said special rate shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Invercargill City Council held on Tuesday, 28 August 1962.
