WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Wellington City Housing Loan 1962, £14,000

THE following resolution was duly passed at a special meeting of the Wellington City Council held on Wednesday, 11 July 1962:

In pursuance and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amendments, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of fourteen thousand pounds (£14,000) to be known as the Wellington City Housing Loan 1962 of £14,000 authorised to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting flats for aged persons, the Wellington City Council hereby makes a special rate of four one-thousandths of a penny (0·004d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of thirty-five (35) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

MOUNT ROSKILL BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pensioners Flats Loan 1962, £26,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Mount Roskill Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £26,000 authorised to be raised by the Mount Roskill Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for acquisition of land, site development, and building of 15 single and six double pensioners flats, the said Mount Roskill Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought five three pence (0·053d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Mount Roskill; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being for a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

MOUNT ROSKILL BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Roads and Streets Renewal Loan 1962, £59,300

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Mount Roskill Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £59,300 authorised to be raised by the Mount Roskill Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for repayment of £59,300 borrowed for road reconstruction purposes due and payable on the 8th day of September 1962, the said Mount Roskill Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal one four pence (0·14d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Mount Roskill; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being for a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WHANGAROA COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Counties Act 1956 and in the matter of the Public Works Act 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Whangaroa County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, the excavation of a metal quarry; and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken. The said lands are shown coloured yellow on a plan which is available for inspection by the public during office hours at the Whangaroa County Council Chambers in Leigh Street, Kaeo, and which will be so available until and including the 1st day of October 1962.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing and send the same, within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers, Leigh Street, Kaeo.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land containing 8 acres 2 roods 31 perches, more or less, situated in Block VIII of the Kaeo Survey District, being part of Subdivision 7 of Otaha in Old Land Claim No. 19, and being part of the land contained in certificate of title, Volume 500, folio 150, Auckland Registry, being the land coloured yellow on Survey Office Plan No. 43533.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Wellington City Empowering and Amendment Act 1924, the Public Works Act 1928, the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and their respective amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-named Acts and all other Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that behalf, to execute a certain public work, namely, for a street and in connection with street widening at Blackbridge Road and Wadestown Road in the City of Wellington, and for the purposes of that public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council in the Municipal Offices Building, Mercer Street, in the said City, and is there open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of such land should, if they have well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, set forth the same in writing and send such writing, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Wellington City Council addressed to the Town Clerk, at his said office.
