NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the pro-
visions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land first
described in the Schedule hereto for road, and the land
secondly described in the Schedule hereto for better utilisation;
and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land
so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at
Arrowtown and is there open for inspection, and that all
persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if
they have any well-grounded objection to the taking of the
land, set forth the same in writing and send the writing,
within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to
the Minister of Works at Wellington.

was passed by the Hokitika Borough Council on the 18th day
of April 1962:
"That, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 13
of the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Hokitika Borough
Council hereby resolves that the piece of land vested in the
Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the said borough and
described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is
