NOTICE is hereby given that, by an entry in its minute book
signed in accordance with section 362 (1) of the Companies
Act 1955, the above-named company on the 17th day of
January 1962 passed a resolution for voluntary winding-up,
and that a meeting of the creditors of the above-named
company will accordingly be held at the office of Messrs
Simpson, Bate, and Wane, Solicitors, Queen Street, Hastings,
on Friday, the 26th day of January 1962, at 2 o’clock in the
afternoon.
Business:
Consideration of a statement of the position of the
company’s affairs and list of creditors, etc.
Nomination of liquidator.
Appointment of committee of inspection if thought fit.

Notice of Meeting of Creditors
In the matter of the Companies Act 1955 and in the matter
of Victoria Clothing Co. Ltd. (in voluntary liquidation).
NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to section 362 (8) of the
Companies Act 1955, that the shareholders of the company
have on Monday, 22nd January 1962, by extraordinary
resolution resolved that the company cannot by reason of its
liabilities continue its business, and that the company be
wound up voluntarily, and that a meeting of the creditors
be held at the Chamber of Commerce Hall, corner Worcester
Street and Oxford Terrace, Christchurch, on the 1st day of
February 1962, at 9.15 a.m. in the forenoon, at which meeting
a full statement of the position of the company’s affairs
together with a list of the creditors and the estimated
amount of their claims will be laid before the meeting, and
at which meeting the creditors, in pursuance of section 285
of the said Act, may nominate a person to be the liquidator
of the company, and in pursuance of section 286 of the said
Act, may appoint a committee of inspection.
A creditor may attend and vote in person or by proxy.
Forms of general and special proxies have been mailed to
all known creditors. All proxies shall be lodged at the
Registered Office of the Company, care of Messrs. Smith,
Boyd, and Knight, 143 Hereford Street, Christchurch, not
later than four o’clock on the afternoon of Wednesday,
31 January 1962.

Municipal Hall Completion Loan No. 2, 1961, £5,000
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that at a meeting of the
Murupara Town District Council held on 18 December 1961,
the following resolution was passed:
That pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Murupara Town District Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on
the Municipal Hall Completion Loan No. 2, 1961, authorised
to be raised by the Murupara Town District Council under
the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting the
balance of the cost of erecting a municipal hall, the said
Murupara Town District Council hereby makes a special rate
of decimal one nought three of one penny (·103d.) in the
pound upon the rateable value (based on the capital value)
of all the rateable property in the Town District of Murupara;
and that the special rate shall be in the annual-recurring
rate during the currency of the loan and payable yearly on
the 8th day of September in each and every year during
the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or
until the loan is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
——
Staff Housing Loan 1961, £3,500
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Picton
Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £3,500 authorised to be raised by the Picton
Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the pur-
pose of constructing a staff house, the said Picton Borough
Council hereby makes a special rate of five-eighths of a penny
(⅝d.) in the pound on the rateable value of all the rateable
property as appearing on the Valuation Roll of the Borough
of Picton; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recur-
ring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable
yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during
the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until
the loan is fully paid off.”

BIRKENHEAD BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
——
Streets Completion Loan 1961
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and of all
other powers thereunto enabling it, the Birkenhead Borough
Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other
charges on a loan of two hundred and eighty thousand pounds
(£280,000) to be known as the Streets Completion Loan 1961,
which amount is proposed to be raised by the Birkenhead
Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the pur-
pose of improving streets and footpaths in the Borough, in-
cluding kerbing and channelling, concrete paving, and storm-
water disposal, the said Birkenhead Borough Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of three and five-eighths pence
(3⅝d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value, based on
the unimproved value, of all rateable property in the Borough
of Birkenhead; and the said special rate shall be an annually
recurring rate in each and every year during the currency of
of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed
at a meeting of the Birkenhead Borough Council held on the
15th day of January 1962.

Reticulation Loan 1961, £10,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Golden Bay Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £10,000 authorised to be raised by the Golden Bay
Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the
purpose of further reticulating the Boards area, the said
Golden Bay Electric Power Board hereby makes a special
rate of eleven thirty-seconds of a penny (¹¹/₃₂d.) in the
pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of
the Golden Bay Electric Power Board district; and that the
special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day
of September in each and every year during the currency of
the loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is
fully paid off.”
