The Northern Side of Portion of Struthers Lane in the City of Christchurch Exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928, Subject to a Condition as to Building Line

At the Government House at Wellington this 11th day of July 1962
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby approves of the resolution passed by the Christchurch City Council on the 13th day of December 1961, and set out in the First Schedule hereto, in so far as it affects the side and portions of street described in the Second Schedule hereto, subject to the condition that no shop or other building with a public entrance from Struthers Lane and no show windows fronting Struthers Lane displaying wares for sale shall at any time be erected or permitted to be used on the land fronting the northern side of the portion of Struthers Lane described in the Second Schedule hereto within a distance of 33 ft from the centre line of the said portion of the said street.

FIRST SCHEDULE
CANTE RBURY LAND DISTRICT
THE Christchurch City Council being the local authority having the control of the streets in the City of Christchurch by resolution declares that the provisions of section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928 shall not apply to that portion of street known as Strut he s Lane adjoining the land com prised in certificate of title, Volume 174, folio 58, being part of Town Section 1001 and Town Section 1003.

SECOND SCHEDULE
CANTE RBURY LAND DISTRICT
THE northern side of all that portion of Struthers Lane situated in the City of Christchurch, fronting Town Section 1003 and part Town Section 1001; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 4807 deposited in the office of the Minister of Wo ks at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets apart the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a burial ground for the common use and benefit of the descendants of Hone Pihama alias Pihama te Uru, deceased.

PURSUANT to the National Art Gallery and Dominion Museum Amendment Act 1936, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby appoints the under-mentioned person to be a member of the Board of Trustees of the National Art Gallery and Dominion Museum as representing the Maori race:
William Tuakana Ngata, Esquire, for a term of three years on and from 1 July 1962 in place of Michael Rotohiko Jones, Esquire, o.b.e., M.M., J.P., resigned.

PURSUANT to section 175 of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Whangarei Harbour Board to reclaim from the sea 4 acres 3 roods 30 perches of land at Whangarei Harbour shown blue on plan marked M.D. 11315 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington.

Appointing Members of the Engineering Associates Registration Board

THE Minister of Works hereby declares that the Engineering Associates Act 1961 shall apply to the New Zealand Institute of Engineering and Science Technicians (Incorporated), and on the recommendation of the said the New Zealand Institute of Engineering and Science Technicians (Incorporated) doth hereby appoint, pursuant to section 3 of the Engineering Associates Act 1961, Hector Vivian Doran, of 27 Hardy Street, Lower Hutt, to be a member of the Engineering Associates Registration Board, and John Roland Preston Lee, of 35 Anzac Street, Takapuna, Auckland, to be the deputy of the said Hector Vivian Doran on the said Engineering Associates Registration Board;
And the Minister hereby further declares that the Engineering Associates Act 1961 shall apply to the New Zealand Institute of Marine and Power Engineers (Incorporated) and, on the recommendation of the said the New Zealand Institute of Marine and Power Engineers (Incorporated), doth hereby appoint, pursuant to section 3 of the Engineering Associates Act 1961, Walter Archibald Scott, of 17 Birdwood Road, Lower Hutt, to be a member of the Engineering Associates Registration Board, and Clifford Somerville Harnett, of 9 Leys Crescent, Remuera, Auckland, to be the deputy of the said Walter Archibald Scott on the said Engineering Associates Registration Board;
