Licensing the New Zealand Cooperative Dairy Co. Ltd., of Hamilton, to Use and Occupy a Part of the Foreshore and Bed of the Piako River, at Ngatea, as a Site for a Wharf

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licenses and permits the New Zealand Cooperative Dairy Co. Ltd., of Hamilton (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include its successors or assigns unless the context requires a different construction), to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of the Piako River, at Ngatea, as shown on plan marked M.D. 8713 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a wharf as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

CONDITIONS

  1. This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.
  2. The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day of April 1962.
  3. The premium payable by the licensee shall be two pounds (£2) and the annual sum so payable four pounds (£4).
  4. The master of every vessel discharging ballast at the wharf shall have all such ballast taken away and deposited above high-water mark, or at such place as may be approved by the Minister or by any person appointed by the Minister for that purpose.

Licensing the Auckland City Council to Use and Occupy a Part of the Foreshore and Bed of the Sea in Auckland Harbour, at Brown's (Motukorea) Island, as a Site for a Wharf

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licenses and permits the Auckland City Council (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include its successors or assigns unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of the sea in Auckland Harbour, at Brown's (Motukorea) Island, as shown on plan marked M.D. 2955 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a wharf as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

Fixing the Number of Members to be Elected for Each Ward of the Central Southland Rabbit District (Notice No. Ag. 7561)

PURSUANT to section 25A of the Rabbits Act 1955, the Central Southland Rabbit Board hereby declares that the number of members to be elected for each ward of the Central Southland Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 4th day of December 1961,* shall be the number specified in the Schedule hereto opposite the name of the ward.

Central Southland Rabbit District Divided Into Wards (Notice No. Ag. 7560)

PURSUANT to section 14A of the Rabbits Act 1955, the Central Southland Rabbit Board hereby declares the Central Southland Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 4th day of December 1961,* to be divided into wards having the names and boundaries specified in the Schedule hereto.

Land Surveyors' Examination, August 1962—Australia and New Zealand

It is hereby notified for general information that the Survey Board, in conjunction with the Australian Surveyors' Boards, will conduct an examination of candidates for registration as surveyors, commencing at 9 a.m. on Monday, 20 August 1962, at Wellington.
Candidates are notified that their applications, on the proper form, must reach the Secretary of the Board not later than Wednesday, 25 July 1962, and that the examination fee must be paid at the same time to the Secretary, from whom application forms and other particulars may be obtained.
Candidates presenting themselves for examination in any written subject or subjects may present themselves for examination at any Chief Surveyor's Office, or at the office of the District Surveyor at Rotorua, Whangarei, or Hamilton.
Candidates for the oral and practical portion of the examination must sit in Wellington. Plans for this portion of the examination, the certificate and other evidence required by regulation No. 31 of the Survey Examination Regulations 1953, must be forwarded not later than 17 September 1962.
