PURSUANT to section 88 of the Counties Act 1956, the Secretary for Internal Affairs hereby publishes the following special order made by the Waihemo County Council.

SPECIAL ORDER
IN exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 23 and section 88 of the Counties Act 1956, the Waihemo County Council resolves, by way of special order, as follows:
-
That the present division of the County of Waihemo into seven ridings is revoked, and in lieu thereof the said county shall be divided into six ridings to be called, respectively, Green Valley Riding, Dunback Riding, Macraes Riding, Blue Mountain Riding, Bushey Riding, and Goodwood Riding.

That the said Waihemo County Council shall consist of seven members, who shall be elected as follows:
(a) The electors of the Macraes Riding shall elect two councillors.
(b) The electors of the Green Valley Riding, the Dunback Riding, the Blue Mountain Riding, the Bushey Riding, and the Goodwood Riding shall each elect one councillor.
- That the alteration hereby made shall take effect on and after the 5th day of September 1962.
SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF GREEN VALLEY RIDING
ALL that area in the Otago Land District, County of Waihemo, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the northern side of Razorback Track due north of Trig. Station “K” at the south-eastern corner of Block XV, Moeraki Survey District, and proceeding due south to Trig. Station “K” aforesaid; then due west along the southern boundary of Block XV aforesaid, to the south-eastern boundary of Section 20, Block XV, aforesaid; then south-westerly along the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 20 and 23, Block XV, aforesaid, and southerly along the eastern boundary of Section 23 aforesaid and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the Shag River; then generally southerly down the middle of that river to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Section 16, Block IV, Dunback Survey District; then south-westerly to and along the south-eastern boundary of Section 16 aforesaid and its production to the north-eastern boundary of the land shown on D.P. 830; then north-westerly along the north-eastern boundary of the land shown on D.P. 830 aforesaid to the south-eastern corner of Section 43, Block IV, aforesaid; then westerly along the southern boundary of Section 43 aforesaid to the north-eastern boundary of Section 32, Block IV, aforesaid; then north-westerly along the north-eastern boundary of that Section 32 to the northernmost corner of Section 32 aforesaid; then generally south-westerly along the south-eastern side of Macraes Road to the north-eastern boundary of Block XI, Dunback Survey District; then south-easterly, south-westerly, and again south-easterly and south-westerly along the north-eastern and south-eastern and again north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of Blocks XI aforesaid and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the northernmost corner of Section 2, Block VIII, Dunback Survey District; then south-westerly along the north-western boundary of Section 2 aforesaid and its production to the middle of Murphy’s Creek; then generally southerly down the middle of Murphy’s Creek and its production to the middle of the Waikouaiti River (North Branch); then generally south-easterly down the middle of that river to a point in line with the northern boundary of Hawksbury Survey District; then easterly to and along the northern boundary of Hawksbury Survey District to Trig. All that area in the Otago Land District, County of Waihemo, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the north-eastern side of Razorback Track due north of Trig. Station “K” at the south-eastern corner of Block XV, Moeraki Survey District, and proceeding due south to Trig.
