PURSUANT to section 88 of the Counties Act 1956, the Secretary for Internal Affairs hereby publishes the following special order made by the Waihemo County Council.

SPECIAL ORDER

IN exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 23 and section 88 of the Counties Act 1956, the Waihemo County Council resolves, by way of special order, as follows:

1. That the present division of the County of Waihemo into seven ridings is revoked, and in lieu thereof the said county shall be divided into six ridings to be called, respectively, Green Valley Riding, Dunback Riding, Macraes Riding, Blue Mountain Riding, Bushey Riding, and Goodwood Riding.

2. That the said Waihemo County Council shall consist of seven members, who shall be elected as follows:

(a) The electors of the Macraes Riding shall elect two councillors.

(b) The electors of the Green Valley Riding, the Dunback Riding, the Blue Mountain Riding, the Bushey Riding, and the Goodwood Riding shall each elect one councillor.

3. That the alteration hereby made shall take effect on and after the 5th day of September 1962.

BOUNDARIES OF GREEN VALLEY RIDING

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, County of Waihemo, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the northern side of Razorback Track due north of Trig. Station “K” at the south-eastern corner of Block XV, Moeraki Survey District, and proceeding due south to Trig.
