TAKAPUNA CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

For the Purpose of Providing Interest and Other Charges on
the Pensioners' Flats Loan 1961, £22,500
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Takapuna City Council resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on the Pensioners' Flats Loan 1961, £22,500, authorised
to be raised by the Takapuna City Council by way of special
loan under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the
purpose of providing housing accommodation for aged persons
in the City of Takapuna, the Takapuna City Council makes a
special rate of 0·05d. (decimal nought five pence) in the
pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the un-
improved value of all rateable property in the City of Taka-
puna); and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring
rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly
on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the
currency of the loan, being a period of 25 (twenty-five) years,
or until the loan is fully paid off."

WHAKATANE BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Sewerage Loan 1961, £145,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies Loans Act 1926, the Whakatane
Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the
purpose of completing the sewer reticulation of the borough
and works incidental thereto, hereby makes and levies a
special rate of one and eight-tenths pence (1·8d.) in the
pound upon the rateable property in the Borough of Whaka-
tane; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring
rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly
on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being for a period of 30 years, or
until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above-mentioned resolution was
passed by the Whakatane Borough Council at a meeting held
on the 14th day of May 1962.

RANGIORA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Sewerage Loan 1961, £60,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Rangiora Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a
loan of £60,000 authorised to be raised by the Rangiora
Borough Council under the above Act for the purpose of
constructing new sewage treatment works and improving and
extending the borough's sewerage reticulation system, the
Rangiora Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of
one decimal seven nine five pence (1·795d.) in the pound
(£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the
whole of the Borough of Rangiora; and that the special rate
shall be an annually-recurring rate during the currency of
the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in
each and every year during the currency of the loan, being
a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid
off."

BALCLUTHA BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

NOTICE is hereby given that the Balclutha Borough Council
proposes to take, by virtue of section twenty-two (22),
Public Works Act 1928, for street purposes, the lands described
in the Schedule hereto.
And, further, all persons affected by the taking of the said
lands are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any
well-grounded objections to the taking of such lands and to
send such writing to the Balclutha Borough Council, Bal-
clutha, within forty (40) days from the first publication of
this notice.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land marked "Right of Way" on a plan of
the Township of Rosebank, Extension No. 3, deposited in
the Land Registry Office at Dunedin as No. 2587, containing
two (2) roods seventeen (17) poles and thirty-two hundredths
(17·32) of a pole, and being the balance of the land in
certificate of title, 196/137.

TAURANGA COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND AND TO STOP PORTIONS
OF ROAD

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Tauranga County
Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works
Act 1928, to take for road the land described in the First
Schedule hereto and to stop the portions of road described
in the Second Schedule.

A plan showing the land proposed to be taken and the por-
tions of road proposed to be stopped is available for public
inspection at the office of the Tauranga County Council,
Barkes Corner, Cameron Road, Tauranga, during forty (40)
days from the date of the first publication of this notice. All
persons having well-grounded objections to any of the above-
mentioned proposals are hereby called upon to set forth their
objections in writing and to lodge the same in the office of
the Council on or before 5 July 1962.

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Town and Country
Planning Appeal Board has notified the Auckland City Council
of its consent, under section 35 of the Town and Country
Planning Act 1953, to the following departure from the
Council's operative district scheme:

Nature of Departure: The erection and use of a warehouse,
clothing factory, and showroom as a conditional use on that
piece of land described as all that area of land situated in
the City of Auckland comprising 38·2 perches, being Lots
17, 18, and 19 of a subdivision of Allotment 16 of Section 7,
Suburbs of Auckland, and being Nos. 1, 3, and 5 King Street
and the corner of Dean Street, Grey Lynn.

Effective Date: 15 April 1962.

AUCKLAND METROPOLITAN DRAINAGE BOARD

SPECIAL ORDER

Loan No. 30, 1961: £2,600,000, 2nd Issue £1,000,000

THE Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board in exercise of the
powers vested in it by the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage
Act 1960, and in pursuance of the authority conferred on it
under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and in exercise
of all other powers enabling it in that behalf doth hereby
resolve by special resolution intended to operate as a special
order to borrow the sum of £1,000,000 (one million pounds)
as a special loan and to be portion of a special loan known
as loan No. 30, 1961, £2,600,000 (two million six hundred
thousand pounds) to be applied for the purpose of meeting
costs and expenses incidental to the construction of the
Manukau Scheme of main drainage.

The foregoing special order was made by way of a special
resolution passed at a special meeting of the Board held on:
the 4th day of April 1962. It was publicly notified in the
Auckland Star and the New Zealand Herald on the 14th and
28th days of April 1962, and confirmed at the ordinary meeting
of the Board held on the 2nd day of May 1962.

The common seal of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage
Board was hereto affixed this 4th day of May 1962.
