Reserve Bank of New Zealand
PURSUANT to section 45 of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Act 1933 (as amended by section 23 of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Amendment Act 1936), the Governor of the Reserve Bank, acting with the authority of the Minister of Finance, hereby gives notice that, as from 18 May 1962, the balance to be maintained in the Reserve Bank by each other bank for the time being carrying on business in New Zealand in accordance with the said section 45 shall be such that when added to that bank’s holding of Reserve Bank notes, it shall be equal to not less than 32 per cent of its demand liabilities in New Zealand, plus 10 per cent of its time liabilities in New Zealand, as shown in the last preceding monthly return furnished by that bank in accordance with section 46 of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Act 1933.
Provided that the minimum balance to be maintained at the Reserve Bank shall not be less than 7 per cent of its demand liabilities in New Zealand, plus 3 per cent of its time liabilities in New Zealand.
For the purpose of this calculation a bank’s holding of Reserve Bank notes shall be as shown in the latest available weekly return provided under the Statistics Act 1955.

Notice of Election by the Public Trustee to Become Manager Under Part V of the Public Trust Office Act 1957 (Unclaimed Property)
WHEREAS the Public Trustee has, for the purposes of Part V of the Public Trust Office Act 1957 (relating to unclaimed property), made due inquiries with respect to the land described in the Schedule hereunder and the whereabouts of the owner thereof; and whereas the Public Trustee has been unable to ascertain the whereabouts of the owner of the said land or whether he is dead or alive; and whereas the Public Trustee is satisfied that it is advisable in the interests of the owner of the said land and in the interests of other persons and to secure the development or better utilisation of the said land that he should become the manager of the said land under Part V of the Public Trust Office Act 1957; and whereas the Public Trustee estimates that the gross value of the said land does not exceed the sum of two thousand pounds (£2,000); now, therefore, in pursuance of section 80 of the Public Trust Office Act 1957, the Public Trustee hereby elects to become the manager of the said land.
SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of land containing 2 roods, more or less, situate in the District of Ellesmere, being part of Rural Section 5861 and the whole of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 33, folio 300, Canterbury Registry, the registered proprietor of which is Alfred Warren of Southbridge, hawker.

The Agricultural Chemicals (Insecticides) Notice 1961, Amendment No. 1
PURSUANT to regulation 5 of the Agricultural Chemicals (Insecticides) Regulations 1961, the Director-General of Agriculture hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE
- This notice may be cited as the Agricultural Chemicals (Insecticides) Notice 1961, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Agricultural Chemicals (Insecticides) Notice 1961* (hereinafter referred to as the principal notice).
- The Schedule to the principal notice is hereby amended by omitting paragraph (e), and substituting the following paragraph:
“(e) Any pasture, unless and until all stock have been removed therefrom and are not returned thereto before the expiration of two weeks from the date of application of the insecticide in the case of sheep or cattle other than dairy cows in milk, or before the expiration of six weeks from the date of application of the insecticide in the case of dairy cows in milk.”

PURSUANT to regulation 5 of the Agricultural Chemicals (Insecticides) Regulations 1961, the Director-General of Agriculture hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE
- This notice may be cited as the Agricultural Chemicals (Insecticides) Notice 1962, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Agricultural Chemicals (Insecticides) Notice 1962* (hereinafter referred to as the principal notice).
- The Schedule to the principal notice is hereby amended as follows:
(a) By inserting, after the words “nicotine sulphate” appearing in the column under the heading “Insecticides”, the word “parathion”:
(b) By inserting in the first column under the heading “Terms and Conditions” and opposite the word “parathion” the number and letters “3 oz”:
(c) By inserting in the second column under the heading “Terms and Conditions” and opposite the word “parathion” the numbers and word “21 days”.
