PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the additional land described in the Schedule hereof is hereby taken for a workers' hostel, together with the right of way reserved by memorandum of transfer No. 65571, Wellington Land Registry, and with the easement reserved by memorandum of transfer No. 112944, Wellington Land Registry, and subject to the conditions as to the use of Tramway Avenue imposed by Z. 196, Wellington Land Registry, and to the conditions as to building imposed by Order in Council No. 340, Wellington Land Registry; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 22nd day of January 1962.

ALL those pieces of land situated in the City of Timaru, Canterbury R.D., described as follows:
