INVERCARGILL CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Renewal Loan No. 1, 1962, £21,700

"That, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £21,700 authorised to be raised by the Invercargill City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repayment of City Council securities maturing on the 1st day of June 1962, after allowing for sinking fund moneys available, the said Invercargill City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought five nought pence (0·050d.) in the pound on the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the City of Invercargill; and that the said special rate shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Invercargill City Council held on Thursday, 26 April 1962.

MANAWATU-OROUA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

The Manawatu-Oroua Electric Power Board Electrical Reticulation Loan No. 9, 1961, £64,000

Pursuant to section 45 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Manawatu-Oroua Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charge on a loan of sixty-four thousand pounds (£64,000) authorised to be raised by the Manawatu-Oroua Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of further reticulation in the Board’s District, the said Manawatu-Oroua Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of one-eleventh (1/11th) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Manawatu-Oroua Electric Power Board District as defined in the Proclamation appearing in the Gazette, No. 40, 16 June 1955, pages 963–964; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Manawatu-Oroua Electric Power Board held at Palmerston North on the 12th day of March 1962.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

The Wellington City Johnsonville Sewerage Loan 1961 of £81,000

The following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Wellington City Council held on Monday, the 7th day of May 1962:

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of eighty-one thousand pounds (£81,000) to be known as the Wellington City Johnsonville Sewerage Loan 1961 of £81,000 authorised to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing sewer reticulation in Johnsonville, the Wellington City Council hereby makes a special rate of thirty-four one-thousandths of a penny (0·034d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

WAITEMATA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Waitemata Electric Power Board Reticulation Extension and Reinforcement Loan (1962) £331,000

In pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Electric-Power Boards Act 1925, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and amendments and regulations made thereunder respectively, and all other powers it enabling, the Waitemata Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing half-yearly instalments of interest and yearly instalments of principal and other charges on a loan of £331,000 authorised to be raised by the Waitemata Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned enactments in order to provide additional moneys for the purpose of extending and reinforcing the supply of electricity within the whole of the Waitemata Electric Power District, the Waitemata Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 75/1000ths of a 1d. in the (£) upon the rateable value (being the capital value) of all the rateable property within the whole of the Waitemata Electric Power District as defined in the Proclamation appearing in the Gazette dated 18 October 1923 and amended by Proclamations appearing in the Gazettes dated 27 November 1924, 26 August 1926, 7 March 1929, 24 January 1935, 14 April 1954, and by section 44 of the Local Legislation Act 1961; and that such special rate shall be an annually-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

I hereby certify that the above resolution was carried at a meeting of the Waitemata Electric Power Board held on 27 April 1962.

HAMPDEN BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hampden Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £11,000 to be known as the Hampden Water Supply Loan 1961, authorised to be raised by the Hampden Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of financing a water supply for the Borough of Hampden, the Hampden Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of one decimal nought seven pence (1·07d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the improved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Hampden; and that the special rate shall be an annually-recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and to be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being for a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

EAST COAST BAYS BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the East Coast Bays Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £180,000 authorised to be raised by the East Coast Bays Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing sewerage reticulation of No. 1 Area (from the southern boundary of East Coast Bays Borough to Sunrise Avenue, Mairangi Bay), the said East Coast Bays Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of three decimal nine one pence (3·91d.) in the (£) upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the No. 1 Area (from southern boundary of East Coast Bays Borough to Sunrise Avenue, Mairangi Bay); and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of March in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being for a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

SPRINGS COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Machinery Loan No. 1, £6,000

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Springs County Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £6,000 authorised to be raised by the Springs County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of the purchase of machinery, the Springs County Council hereby makes a special rate of one twenty-second of one penny in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the whole of the County of Springs; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of five years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the minutes of the last meeting held on the 19th day of February 1962.
