Restricting the Use of Boats in a Wildlife Refuge in the South Canterbury Acclimatisation District

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Third Schedule to the proclamation, dated 10 December 1956, and published in the Gazette, 10 January 1957, Vol. I, page 9, relating to the restrictions as to the use of boats in Lake Alexandrina and McGregor’s Lagoon, and hereby proclaim and declare that the restrictions set forth in the Schedule hereto shall henceforth apply to the use of boats in the aforesaid Lake Alexandrina and McGregor’s Lagoon.

SCHEDULE
RESTRICTIONS AS TO THE USE OF BOATS UNDER THE WILDLIFE AMENDMENT ACT 1956

THE use of boats in Lake Alexandrina and McGregor’s Lagoon is hereby restricted to boats wholly propelled by oars or paddles, except that the Secretary for Internal Affairs may, for the purpose of piscicultural or other scientific investigations, authorise the use of boats propelled by any other means.

Adding Land to the Fiordland National Park

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 10 of the National Parks Act 1952, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall, as from the date hereof, be added to and form part of the Fiordland National Park and shall hereafter be managed, administered, and dealt with by the Fiordland National Park Board in accordance with the provisions of the said Act.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT—TOWN OF CROMARTY
