Drainage Supplementary Loan 1962, £6,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Taradale
Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund,
and other charges in respect of the Drainage Supplementary
Loan 1962, £6,000, authorised to be raised by the Taradale
Borough Council, an annually recurring special rate of decimal
one pence (0·1d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable un-
improved value of all rateable land in the Borough of Taradale
be and is hereby permanently pledged and appropriated as
security for the interest, sinking fund, and other charges as
aforesaid until the said loan shall be fully repaid.”

Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund,
and other charges in respect of the Development Loan 1962,
£300,000, authorised to be raised by the Taradale Borough
Council, an annually recurring special rate of three decimal
seven pence (3·7d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable un-
improved value of all rateable land in the Borough of Taro-
dale be and is hereby permanently pledged and appropriated
as security for interest, sinking fund, and other charges as
aforesaid until the said loan shall be fully repaid.”

GISBORNE CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Gisborne City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a
loan of £5,600 authorised to be raised by the Gisborne City
Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of
erecting pensioners’ flats in the City of Gisborne, the said
Gisborne City Council hereby makes a special rate of seventeen
one-thousandths of a penny (0·017d.) upon the rateable un-
improved value of all rateable property in the whole of the
City of Gisborne; and that the special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable
yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during
the currency of the loan, for a period of 30 years, or until the
loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of
a resolution passed by the Gisborne City Council at an ordinary
meeting held on the 17th day of April 1962.

HAVELOCK NORTH BOROUGH COUNCIL
In exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 53 (2)
of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, the Havelock North
Borough Council resolves by way of special order as follows:
(1) In lieu of seven councillors the Havelock North Borough
Council shall consist of eight councillors.
(2) The increase in the number of councillors made pursuant
to this special order shall take effect at the General
Election of members of the Havelock North Borough
Council to be held on 13 October 1962, except in so
far and to such extent as may be necessary for pro-
viding for that election.
The foregoing resolution will be submitted for confirmation
at a meeting of the Council to be held on Tuesday, 22 May
1962.

of the position of the company's affairs together with a list of
the creditors and the estimated amounts of their claims will
