ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 2nd day of April 1962
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. KEITH HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Mid-Wakatipu Rabbit District Order 1962.
    (2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.
  2. The boundaries of the Mid-Wakatipu Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 24th day of September 1952, are hereby altered and redefined and, as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.
    SCHEDULE
    BOUNDARIES OF THE MID-WAKATIPU RABBIT DISTRICT
    All that area in the Southland Land District, Lake, Southland, and Wallace Counties, containing by estimation 220,290 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the western shore of Lake Wakatipu and the southern boundary of Run 350A, Block VII, Von Survey District; thence proceeding south-easterly generally along that western shore to the boundary between Greenvale and Halfway Bay Stations, Block III, South Wakatipu Survey District; thence westerly generally along the northern boundaries of the parts of Run 420A and Run 6 included in Greenvale Station, to the Long Burn, being also the north-western boundary of Run 6; thence south-westerly generally along the north-western boundaries of Runs 6 and 420A to Eyre Peak; thence westerly along the southern boundaries of Runs 555 and 556, to the saddle between Eyre Creek and the south branch of the Von River; thence south-westerly down the watershed between Eyre Creek and streams flowing into the Oreti River to the northern boundary of Run 391; thence westerly along that boundary of Run 391 to the left bank of the Oreti River; thence due west across the Oreti River to the eastern boundary of Run 568; thence northerly generally along the eastern boundary of Run 568 across State forest, and again along the eastern boundary of Run 568 and the eastern boundaries of Run 567 and State forest Block V, Von Survey District, to the southern boundary of Run 350A; thence easterly along that boundary to the point of commencement.

Authorising the Laying Off of an Extension of St. Albans Street and a New Street off St. Albans Street in the City of Dunedin, Subject to a Condition as to the Building Line

Pursuant to section 186 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Dunedin City Council to permit the laying off of the proposed new streets described in the Schedule hereto at a width of less than 66 ft, but not less than 42 ft, subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land shown edged green on the plan marked M.O.W. 5005 referred to in the said Schedule within a distance of 15 ft from the side lines of the said new streets.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT
Those proposed streets in the City of Dunedin containing 3 roods 14 perches, more or less, situated in Lower Kaikorai Survey District, being part Lots 2, 3, and 4, D.P. 2549, being part Sections 121 and 122, Wakari Survey District, and part Sections 6, 7, and 345R, Block V, Lower Kaikorai Survey District, and part Lot 15, D.P. 2179, being part Sections 6 and 7, Block V; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 5005 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Consenting to the Closing of Portion of The Terrace in the Borough of Thames

Pursuant to the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, as amended by section 2 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act 1956, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the closing of the portion of street known as The Terrace in the Borough of Thames, described in the Schedule hereto.

All that piece of street containing 3·1 perches situated in Block IV, Thames Survey District, Borough of Thames, Auckland R.D., adjoining or passing through part Pukerahui Block; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 5009 (S.O. 41196) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Declaring Access Ways to be Vested in the Corporation of the City of Hamilton and to be Under the Control and Management of the Hamilton City Council

Pursuant to section 11 of the Housing Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the access ways described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Hamilton and be under the control and management of the Hamilton City Council.
