APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE FOR A WATER RACE
I, James Neil Aitken, of Patearoa, farmer, hereby give notice that I have applied for a licence for a water race to divert 1/40 of a head of water for domestic purposes from a spring in Section 18, Block IV, Upper Taieri District, the property of F. Roberts and W. Macdonald, the water to be carried in a pipe line in a north-westerly direction from the said spring, across the Patearoa-Hamilton road, thence into my property, being Section 14, Block IV, Upper Taieri District, and terminating at my dwelling.
The application and all objections thereto will be heard on Wednesday, 16 May 1962, at 10 a.m., at the Warden's Court at Cromwell, and all objections must be filed in the Registrar's Office and notified to me or my solicitor at least three days before the time so appointed.

WAIMEA COUNTY COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers of the Wakefield Water Supply special rating area, taken on the 24th day of March 1962, on the proposal of the above-named local authority to raise a loan of £29,000 to be known as the Wakefield Water Supply Loan 1961 for the purpose of a domestic water supply for the Wakefield Township resulted as follows:
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 130 The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 228 The number of informal votes was 2
I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected. Dated this 26th day of March 1962.

Subscriptions-The subscription is at the rate of £5 5s. per calendar year, including postage, payable in advance. Single copies available as issued.
The price of each Gazette varies and is printed thereon. The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 12 o'clock of the day preceding publication.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 9d. per line for the first insertion and 6d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertions.
The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement. All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, etc., should be written in a legible hand.
STATUTORY REGULATIONS
Under the Regulations Act 1936, statutory regulations of general legislative force are no longer published in the New Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of the following arrangements:
(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing) subscription £2 per calendar year in advance.
(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram, 35s. per volume. (Volumes for years 1936-37 and 1939-42 are out of print.)
(3) Separate regulations as issued.
The price of each regulation is printed thereon.
