BOROUGH OF OAMARU

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Oamaru Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £29,000 authorised to be raised by the Oamaru Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for a new carbonising plant and ancillary equipment at the Oamaru Gasworks, the said Oamaru Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·286d. in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Oamaru, comprising the whole of the Borough, and that the annual rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Oamaru Borough Council held on Tuesday, 27 March 1962.

BOROUGH OF OAMARU

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Oamaru Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £20,000 authorised to be raised by the Oamaru Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for construction of the Oamaru Swimming Pools, the said Oamaru Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·2032d. in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Oamaru, comprising the whole of the Borough, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 15th day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

MARLBOROUGH COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Marlborough County Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £10,000 authorised to be raised by the Marlborough County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of advancing money to farmers, and the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Marlborough County Council hereby makes a special rate of one-sixteenth pence (1/6 d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the County of Marlborough; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring one during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

FRANKLIN COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Franklin County Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of fifty thousand pounds (£50,000) authorised to be raised by the Franklin County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the Franklin County Council hereby makes and levys a special rate of decimal nought nine eight pence (.098d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of unimproved value) of all rateable property in the County of Franklin; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be repayable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year until such loan is fully paid off."

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Franklin County Council held on the 26th day of March 1962.

HAWKE'S BAY CATCHMENT BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hawke's Bay Catchment Board hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £198,500 authorised to be raised by the Hawke's Bay Catchment Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting the Board's share of the cost of the works for improving the existing flood and drainage control works; improvement of Muddy Creek and tributaries, and the provision of necessary pumping facilities; the diversion of the Ngaruroro down its overflow channel and the diversion of the Tutaekuri into this overflow, and ancillary works which have been submitted to the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Council and are described as the Heretaunga Plains Flood Control Scheme, Parts A and B, the said Hawke's Bay Catchment Board hereby makes and levies a special rate as set out in the Schedule hereto on all rateable property liable to be rated for such rate in that part of the Hawke's Bay Catchment District defined in the Classification List for the Heretaunga Plains Flood Control Scheme Special Rating District - signed by the Chairman of the Hawke's Bay Catchment Board on 2 August 1961 - the said rate being a graduated scale according to the classifications made by the Board of lands in the said part of the Catchment District; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Helensville Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £9,200 authorised to be raised by the Helensville Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of improving the borough water supply, the said Helensville Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of three-sixteenths pence (1/6 d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Helensville comprising the whole of the Borough of Helensville; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

PAHIATUA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESULT OF POLL FOR PROPOSED LOAN

Pursuant to section 38 of the Local Authority Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers of the Pahiatua Borough was taken on 24 March 1962 on the proposal of the above-named local authority to raise a loan of £30,000 to be known as the "Building Loan, 1961" for the purpose of erecting municipal chambers and hall resulted as follows:

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was .... 265

The number of informal votes ... 3

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
