Taumarunui Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of one half-penny (½d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Taumarunui; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Taumarunui Borough Council on Monday, 26 March 1962.

TAURANGA BOROUGH COUNCIL


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


Staff Housing Loan 1961, £5,300

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that at a special meeting of the Tauranga Borough Council held on 26 February 1962 the following resolution was passed pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on the Staff Housing Loan 1961, £5,300, authorised to be raised by the Tauranga Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting two staff houses and carrying out work incidental thereto, the said Tauranga Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought one nine pence (0·019) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis on the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Tauranga; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

EGMONT COUNTY COUNCIL


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Egmont County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £25,000 authorised to be raised by the Egmont County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making advances to farmers under the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal one eight six seven pence (0·1867d.) in the pound on the basis of the unimproved value upon all rateable property of the County of Egmont; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April on each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 25 years, or until such loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Egmont County Council held on the 13th day of February 1962.

RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


Bridges Loan 1961, £15,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Raglan County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £15,000 authorised to be raised by the Raglan County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of constructing and renewing bridges within the Raglan County, the said Raglan County Council hereby makes a special rate of nought point nought six one of a penny (0·061d.) in the pound (£) on the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property comprising the whole of the County of Raglan; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be paid yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Raglan County Council held on the 26th day of February 1962.

Roads Loan 1961, £55,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Raglan County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £55,000 authorised to be raised by the Raglan County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of constructing and improving roads within the Raglan County, the said Raglan County Council hereby makes a special rate of nought point two five two five of a penny (0·2525d.) in the pound (£) on the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property comprising the whole of the County of Raglan; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be paid yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Raglan County Council held on the 26th day of February 1962.

CARTERTON BOROUGH COUNCIL


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Carterton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of nine thousand pounds (£9,000) authorised to be raised by the Carterton Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the filtration and upgrading of the Carterton Municipal Baths, the said Carterton Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought nought two eight nine one (0·002891) of a pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Carterton; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly, on the 15th day of October and the 15th day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the purport of the above resolution was passed at a special meeting of the Carterton Borough Council held on the 13th day of December 1961.

DECLARATION OF POLL ON PROPOSAL TO ADOPT SYSTEM OF RATING ON UNIMPROVED VALUE


PURSUANT to section 42 of the Rating Act 1925, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the County of Peninsula, taken on the 10th day of March 1962, on the proposal that the system of rating in the said county be on the unimproved value:

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 1,037
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 677
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of the Kairanga County Council held on Thursday, 8 March 1962, the following resolution was passed:

“That the special order passed by the Kairanga County Council on 19 January 1932, appointing managing ratepayers of the Fitzherbert West Water Race District, and amended by resolution of the Council on 12 October 1937, 9 October 1944, 10 May 1949, 10 March 1953, 11 May 1954, and 28 February 1961, be further amended on account of a vacancy occurring on the Committee by the resignation of John Lauridsen, by the appointment thereon of Thomas Russell Gretton, as his successor, the members of the said Committee being now as hereunder:
