Special Conditions
- Persons holding valid game shooting licences for the Westland Acclimatisation District may, without taking out a further game licence, shoot in that portion of the Southern Lakes Acclimatisation District included in the Westland Land District. The conditions prescribed in this notification in respect of the Southern Lakes Acclimatisation District shall apply in this area.

(3) Lake Kaniere, situated in the County of Westland, Westland Land District: All that area situated in Blocks VII, XI, XII, XV, and XVI, Kaniere Survey District, being Lake Kaniere together with the island therein and the area bounded by a line running parallel to and 40 chains distant from the shore of the said lake. As the same is more particularly shown on plan marked I.A. 52/352 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Provided that—
(a) Paragraph (5) of the Schedule to the standard scheme shall be read as if there were added to subparagraph (b) the words “and the minimum and maximum number of the candidates who may be men and the minimum and maximum number of candidates who may be women”:
(b) Paragraph (11) of the Schedule to the standard scheme shall be read as if there were inserted after the words “vacancies to be filled” the words “and the number of men candidates is not less than two and the number of women candidates is not less than two”:
(c) The directions on the voting paper set out in paragraph (12) of the Schedule to the standard scheme shall be read as if there were inserted after the words “must not exceed . . .”, the words “of whom not less than two and not more than four must be men and not less than two and not more than four must be women”:
(d) Subparagraph (b) of paragraph (15) of the Schedule to the standard scheme shall be read as if there were inserted after the words “of candidates” the words “or the number of men candidates or the number of women candidates”:
(e) Paragraph (17) of the Schedule to the standard scheme shall be read as if all words after the words “shall ascertain” were omitted, and the following words were substituted: “separately and declare to be elected:
“(a) Those of the men candidates (not exceeding the minimum number of men candidates to be elected) who have received the greatest number of votes:
“(b) Those of the women candidates (not exceeding the minimum number of women candidates to be elected) who have received the greatest number of votes:
“(c) Those of the remaining candidates (not exceeding the total number of those candidates to be elected) who have received the greatest number of votes”:

Scheme of Control of Warkworth Post-primary School
PURSUANT to section 92 of the Education Act 1914, the Minister of Education hereby approves of the Warkworth Post-primary School being controlled in accordance with the Standard Scheme of Control for Secondary Schools 1961 published in the Gazette of 8 June 1961, Volume II, page 820:
Provided that:
(a) Clause 10 of the said Standard Scheme shall be read as if the following proviso were added thereto:
“Provided that the first such election of members to the Board shall be held as soon as convenient, but not later than the first week of the month of May in the year 1962.”
(b) The said Standard Scheme shall be read as if the clause numbered 12A set out in the Schedule hereto were inserted after clause 12.
SCHEDULE
NEW CLAUSE FOR STANDARD SCHEME
12A. (1) In every case where any member is to be elected by members of the school committees of the public schools, in accordance with paragraphs (c), (d), (e), (f), and (g) of clause 2 of the Warkworth Post-primary School Board of Governors Order 1962, every such member shall be so elected by postal ballot in a manner determined by the Auckland Education Board in the case of the first election, and by the Board of the school in the case of any subsequent election.
(2) The first such elections shall be held on a date to be specified by the Auckland Education Board, and such elections shall be held in the first week of the month of May in the year 1965 and in every third year thereafter, or as soon thereafter as may be convenient on a date to be specified by the Board. For the purpose of the first such elections the Secretary of the Auckland Education Board, or a deputy appointed by him, shall be the returning officer and for all subsequent elections the Secretary of the Board of Governors shall be the returning officer.

PURSUANT to regulation 42 of the Milk Regulations 1956,* notice is hereby given that Part IV of the said regulations shall apply in the following locality as from the 1st day of January 1962:

Additional Members of the South Ashburton Rabbit Board (Notice No. Ag. 7487)
PURSUANT to section 25 of the Rabbits Act 1955, the Minister of Agriculture hereby publishes the following resolution passed by the South Ashburton Rabbit Board.
RESOLUTION
“That, pursuant to section 25 of the Rabbits Act 1955, the number of elective members of the Board be increased to nine by the appointment of four new members.”

Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953 (Tauranga Development Scheme)
PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that on the date of publication of this notice in the Gazette the land described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the said land being so subject by virtue of a notice dated 15 May 1952 and published in the Gazette, 22 May 1952, Volume II, page 919.

PURSUANT to section 92 of the Education Act 1914, the Minister of Education hereby revokes the approval of the Scheme of Control of Tauranga College published in the Gazette on 21 September 1961, No. 60, page 1457; and approves of all schools for the time being under the Control of the Tauranga College Board being controlled in accordance with the Standard Scheme of Control for Secondary Schools 1961.*
