PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the public reserve, together with party wall rights contained in lease No. 243457, Otago Land Registry, is hereby set apart for buildings of the General Government, subject to the party wall rights contained in the said memorandum of lease; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 26th day of March 1962.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928 and the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of providing playing fields for the public and adjoining schools and to implement the Palmerston North City Council’s reserve development, as shown on the Council’s operative district scheme under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Palmerston North as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 26th day of March 1962.
