SELWYN

All that area comprising the Counties of Tawera, Malvern, Selwyn, Springs, and Ellesmere, that part of the County of Halswell excluded from the Electoral District of Lyttelton hereinafter described, the County of Paparua excepting that part included in the Electoral District of Riccarton hereinafter described, and that part of the County of Ashburton not included in the Electoral District of Ashburton hereinafter described.

FENDALTON

All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point on the right bank of the Avon River and the production of the north-east side of Rossall Street, being a point on the boundary of the City of Christchurch; thence proceeding westerly generally along the boundary of the City of Christchurch and the northern boundary of the Borough of Riccarton to the middle of Clyde Road; thence generally north-westerly, north-easterly, and easterly along the boundary of the present Electoral District of Fendalton to the middle of No. 1 National State Highway, a point on the boundary of the City of Christchurch; thence southerly along that boundary to its intersection with Grants Road; thence southerly generally along the middle of Grants Road, No. 1 National State Highway, Normans Road, and Strowan Road to a point on the boundary of the City of Christchurch; thence south-easterly generally along that boundary to the point of commencement.

ST. ALBANS

All that area comprising the present Electoral District of St. Albans together with that portion of the City of Christchurch bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of No. 1 National State Highway and Aikmans Road; thence south-westerly along the middle of Aikmans Road to a point in line with the middle of Allister Avenue; thence north-westerly along a right line to the intersection of Allister Avenue and Leinster Road; thence south-westerly along the middle of Leinster Road to the boundary of the City of Christchurch; thence north-westerly along that boundary to the middle Strowan Road; thence northerly generally along the middle of Strowan Road and Normans Road to the middle of No. 1 National State Highway; thence south-easterly along the middle of that highway to the point of commencement.

CHRISTCHURCH CENTRAL

All that area, being a portion of the City of Christchurch, bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of Tilford Street and Ferry Road; thence westerly along the middle of Ferry Road to a point on the boundary of the present Electoral District of Christchurch Central; thence generally westerly, northerly, and easterly along that boundary to a point in the middle of the Avon River in line with the middle of Banks Avenue; thence down the middle of that river to a point in line with the middle of Ngarimu Street; thence southerly generally along the middle of Ngarimu Street, Woodham Road, Carnarvon Street, Buckleys Road, Rudge Road, McGregors Road, Butterfield Avenue, Hay Street, Linwood Avenue, and Tilford Street to the middle of Ferry Road, the point of commencement.

AVON

All that area, being a portion of the City of Christchurch, bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of Marshland Road on the northern boundary of the City of Christchurch and proceeding generally easterly and southerly along the said city boundary to and westerly along the southern boundary of the present Electoral District of Avon to the south-easternmost corner of the Electoral District of Christchurch Central as hereinbefore described; thence northerly generally along the eastern boundary of that electoral district and the eastern boundary of the Electoral District of St. Albans hereinbefore described to the point of commencement.

SYDENHAM

All that area, being a portion of the City of Christchurch, bounded by a line commencing at the junction of Moorhouse Avenue and Lincoln Road, being a point on the boundary of the City of Christchurch; thence proceeding easterly, south-westerly, and north-westerly generally along the boundary of the present Electoral District of Sydenham to a point in the middle of Sparks Road in line with the middle of Maryhill Avenue; thence northerly generally along the boundary of the Electoral District of Riccarton hereinafter described to the point of commencement.

RICCARTON

All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point being the intersection of the middle of Clyde Road and the north-western boundary of the Borough of Riccarton; thence easterly and southerly generally along that boundary to the middle of the junction of Hagley Avenue and Lincoln Road; thence southerly generally along the middle of Lincoln Road, Domain Terrace, and Glynne Crescent to a point in line with the middle of Smartlea Street; thence south-westerly along a right line to the middle of the Heathcote River; thence south-easterly along the middle of that river to a point in line with the middle of Muirson Avenue; thence south-westerly generally along a right line to and along the middle of Muirson Avenue, Hoon Hay Road, and Maryhill Avenue to the middle of Sparks Road, being a point on the southern boundary of the City of Christchurch; thence westerly and north-westerly generally along that boundary to the middle of Middle Lincoln Road; thence westerly generally along the middle of that road, Halswell Junction Road, and Springs Road to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Rural Section 1239 situated in Block XIII, Christchurch Survey District; thence north-westerly to and along the south-western boundary of that section and its production to the middle of Shands Road; thence generally north-easterly and south-easterly along the middle of Shands Road, Carmen Road, Yaldhurst Road (No. 73 Provincial State Highway), Russley Road, Memorial Avenue, Ham Road, Waimairi Stream, and Clyde Road to the north-western boundary of the Borough of Riccarton, the point of commencement.

LYTTELTON

All that area comprising the Borough of Lyttelton, the counties of Akaroa, Heathcote, Mount Herbert, Wairewa, and Chatham Islands, those portions of the City of Christchurch lying to the south of the Electoral Districts of Sydenham and Avon hereinbefore described and excluded therefrom, that portion of the County of Halswell excluded from the Electoral District of Selwyn as hereinbefore described, and Ripa and Quail Islands and adjacent islands.

ASHBURTON

All that area comprising the Boroughs of Ashburton, Geraldine, and Temuka, the County of Geraldine, the Tengawai and Point Ridings of the County of Levels, the Opuha, Fairlie, and Albury Ridings of the County of Mackenzie, the Mt. Somers, Rangitata, and Ashburton Ridings of the County of Ashburton, and that portion of the Tekapo Riding of that county east of a line from the summit of the Southern Alps, down the middle of the Rudolf and Tasman Glaciers, the Tasman River, Lake Pukaki, the Pukaki River, and the Tekapo River to the Ohau River, and that portion of the Upper Ashburton Riding of the County of Ashburton lying south-west of the right bank of the North Branch of the Ashburton River.

TIMARU

All that area comprising the present Electoral District of Timaru and the Upper Pareora, Lower Pareora, and Otaio Ridings of the County of Waimate.

WAITAKI

All that area comprising the Boroughs of Waimate and Oamaru, the Hakataramea, North Waihao, Makikihi, and Deep Creek Ridings of the County of Waimate, that portion of the Tekapo Riding of the County of Mackenzie not included in the Electoral District of Ashburton hereinbefore described, the Ahuriri, Otekaike, Awamoko, Papakaio, Waiareka, Incholme, Kakanui, and Otepopo Ridings of the County of Waitaki.

NORTH DUNEDIN

All that area comprising the Boroughs of Port Chalmers and West Harbour, and that portion of the City of Dunedin north of a line commencing at a point on the boundary of the City of Dunedin in line with the middle of the Water of Leith; thence up the middle of the Water of Leith to a point in line with the middle of Parry Street, to and along the middle of that street, Frederick Street, Pitt Street, Royal Terrace, London Street, Stuart Street, and Taieri Road to the boundary of the said city.

DUNEDIN CENTRAL

All that area comprising that portion of the City of Dunedin north-west of a line commencing at a point on the boundary of the City of Dunedin in line with the middle of Hillside Road; thence to and along the middle of that road and Andersons Bay Road to the middle of the South Island Main Trunk Railway, along the middle of that railway to and along the middle of King Edward Street, Wilkie Road, and again along the middle of the railway aforesaid to a point in line with the south-western side of Surrey Street, to and along that side of Surrey Street and its production to the middle of South Road, along the middle of South Road, David Street, Forbury Road, Easther Crescent, Rainton Road, Murray Street, and Corstorphine Road to Stevenson Road and a right line to the north-western side of that road, being a point on the boundary of the City of Dunedin, also that portion of the Borough of Green Island south and east of the Main South Road and Kaikorai Valley Road and excluding that portion of the City of Dunedin included in the Electoral District of North Dunedin hereinbefore described.

ST. KILDA

All that area comprising the Borough of St. Kilda, the County of Peninsula, that portion of the City of Dunedin south-east of a line from a point on the boundary of the City of Dunedin in line with the middle of Hillside Road to Stevenson Road as described in the Electoral District of Dunedin Central hereinbefore described, and the islands within Otago Harbour.
