Notice is hereby given that on Monday, 2 April next, a
meeting of shareholders of Rotokuhu Sawmillers Ltd. will
be held at 143 Hereford Street, Christchurch, at 2 p.m., to
receive the liquidator’s accounts.

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP

Notice is hereby given that the partnership hitherto subsisting
between Roy Leonard Spargo, Phillip George Stimpson, and
Howard William Hugh Grace, under the name of the
Grayson Painting Co. and carrying on business as painters
and paperhangers in Hastings, has been dissolved as from
the 7th day of March 1962.

RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Renewal Loan 1961, £5,000
Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Raglan County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges
on a loan of £5,000 authorised to be raised by the Raglan
County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the
purpose of renewing or redeeming a portion of the Plant
Loan 1956, £15,000, maturing on 1 December 1961, the said
Raglan County Council hereby makes a special rate of
decimal one of a penny (. ld) in the pound (£) on the
rateable value of all rateable property comprising the whole
of the County of Raglan; and that the special rate shall
be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such
loan and be paid yearly on the 1st day of September in each
and every year during the currency of such loan, being a
period of three (3) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting
of the Raglan County Council held on the 6th day of
November 1961.

WAITEMATA COUNTY COUNCIL

PUBLIC NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROAD

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and amendments,
and the Counties Act 1956 and amendments.
Notice is hereby given that the Waitemata County Council
proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts,
to execute a certain work, namely, the construction and
formation of a road passing through or adjoining the parcels
of land referred to in the Schedule hereunder and situated
in Pukeatua Riding of the County of Waitemata; and for
the purposes of such public work the land described in the
Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby
further given that plans of the land so required to be taken
are deposited in the public office of the Clerk of the said
Council, situated in the Council Chambers, 199 Karangahape
Road, Auckland, and are open for inspection (without fee)
by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public
work or by the taking of the said lands must state their
objection in writing and send the same, within forty (40)
days from the first publication of this notice, to the County
Clerk at the Council Chambers.

RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928
Public notice is hereby given that the Raglan County Council
proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act
1928, to take for road the portions of land described in the
First Schedule hereto, and to stop the portion of road
described in the Second Schedule hereto. A plan of the
portions of land proposed to be taken and of the portion
of road proposed to be stopped is open for public inspection
at the office of the Raglan County Council, Great South
Road, Ngaruawahia, during 40 days from the date of the
first publication of this notice. All persons objecting to the
proposal must lodge their objections in writing at the office
of the Council on or before the 18th day of April 1962.

WAIPUKURAU COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER

Rural Housing Loan 1961 of £5,000
In pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies Loans Act 1926, and of all
other powers and authorities enabling it in that behalf, the
Waipukurau County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purposes of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £5,000 authorised to be raised by the
Waipukurau County Council under the above-mentioned Act
for the purpose of rural housing, the said Waipukurau
County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of
0·06 of a penny (0·06d.) in the pound on the rateable
value (on the basis of the unimproved valuation) of all
rateable property within the County of Waipukurau; and
that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate
during the currency of such loan and be payable half-yearly
on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each
and every year during the currency of such loan, being a
period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off”.

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a
resolution passed at a meeting of the Waipukurau County
Council on the 2nd day of November 1961.

APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE FOR A WATER RACE

WEIR Bros Ltd., of Gimmerburn, farmers, hereby give notice
that they have applied for a licence for a water race to
divert 6 heads of water, for purposes of irrigation and providing water for stock, from Taieri River in the property
of the applicants, being Section 3, Block IX, Maniototo
District, the water to be pumped in a pipeline in a northerly
direction through said Section 3, across a public road, and
thence into the property of the applicants, being Section 11,
Block IX, Maniototo District, and terminating in said Section 11.

The application, and all objections thereto, will be heard
on Wednesday, 16 May 1962, at 10 a.m., at the Warden’s
Court at Cromwell, and all objections must be filed in the
Registrar’s Office and notified to the company or its solicitor
at least three days before the time so appointed.
