in Lyttelton Harbour

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 5th day of
March 1962
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. KEITH HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 185 of the Harbours Act 1950, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises
the Lyttelton Harbour Board to reclaim from the sea in
Te Awaparahi Bay, Lyttelton Harbour, all the land containing 9 acres 2 roods, more or less, coloured pink on plan
marked M.D. 11000 deposited in the office of the Marine
Department at Wellington, and to construct retaining walls
in connection therewith, provided that the construction of
the reclamation and the retaining walls is carried out in
accordance with plan marked M.D. 11098 deposited in the
said office of the Marine Department and in the manner
prescribed by the said Act; the works authorised by this
order to be completed within a period of two years from
the date of this order.

PURSUANT to the Fire Services Act 1949, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, hereby declares that as from the
28th day of February 1962 the Glen Massey Secondary
Urban Fire District shall cease to exist.

Warrant Appointing a Member of the New Zealand
Gas Council

PURSUANT to the Gas Industry Act 1958, I, Charles John,
Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand,
hereby appoint
Solomon Greenberg, being an officer of the Treasury,
to be a member of the New Zealand Gas Council in place
of Athol Bertram Taylor, who has retired.

December 1961.

Unit, John McGlashan College, Dunedin, and relinquishes

from the General Duties Branch, Regular Air Force, to the
Reserve of Air Force Officers for a period of four years,
with effect from 10 February 1962.
Flight Lieutenant Stuart Maxwell Cameron, M.B., Ch.B.,
F.R.C.S. (ENG.) (78122), is transferred from the Medical Branch,
Regular Air Force, to the Reserve of Air Force Officers for
a period of 12 years in his present rank with seniority from
22 June 1955, with effect from 11 January 1962.
Flying Officer Kenneth Grant Bigham (690445) is transferred
from the Administrative and Supply Branch (Special Duties
Division), Territorial Air Force, to the Reserve of Air Force
Officers for a period of four years, with effect from 27
January 1962.
