A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as closed the road described in the Schedule hereto.

ALL those pieces of road situated in Block IV, Tuturau Survey District, Southland R.D., described as follows:

PURSUANT to section 18 of the Forests Act 1949, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as permanent State forest land.

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT—WELLINGTON CONSERVANCY
SECTION 41 (formerly closed road), Block I, Mimi Survey District: Area, 1 rood 18 perches, more or less. As shown on plan No. 51/15 deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (S.O. Plan 9115.)

Authorising the Construction of the Christchurch Northern Motorway in the Counties of Waimairi, Eyre, Rangiora, and the Borough of Kaiapoi

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 12th day of March 1962

THE RIGHT HON. KEITH HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928 and section 44 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, His Excellency the Governor-General, at the request of the National Roads Board, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the construction of a motorway to be known as the Christchurch Northern Motorway, commencing at a point adjacent to the junction of No. 1 State Highway and Dickeys Road, Belfast, in the County of Waimairi; thence in a generally northerly direction on the western side of the said State highway through the County of Eyre, the Borough of Kaiapoi, and the County of Rangiora, crossing the said State highway near Pinehaven and thence proceeding in a generally northerly direction on the eastern side of the said State highway to junction with it at a point approximately one mile north of the Saltwater Creek Bridge in the County of Kowai.

PURSUANT to section 112 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto shall on and after the date of this Order in Council become Government road.

THE RIGHT HON. KEITH HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby approves of the resolution passed by the Rangiora Borough Council on the 22nd day of November 1961, and set out in the First Schedule hereto, in so far as it affects the side and portion of street described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
THE Rangiora Borough Council, being the local authority having control of the street known as Alfred Street, being a street of less width than 66 ft, adjoining all that piece of land situated in the Borough of Rangiora containing 30 perches, more or less, being part Rural Section 226A and being Lot 1 on Deposited Plan No. 4758, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 307, folio 8, doth hereby resolve that section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928 shall not apply to the north side of that portion of Alfred Street which adjoins the above described land.
SECOND SCHEDULE
THE northern side of all that portion of Alfred Street in the Borough of Rangiora fronting Lot 1, D.P. 4758, being part Rural Section 226A; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 4880 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
