loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April
and the 1st day of October in each and every year during
the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until
the loan is fully paid off."

NELSON CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
"Notice is hereby given that at a meeting of the Nelson City
Council held on the 15th day of February 1962 the following
resolution was passed:
"That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in
it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956,
the Nelson City Council hereby resolves that for the purpose
of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £30,000
to be known as the Stoke Sewerage Loan No. 2, 1961, of
£30,000, authorised to be raised by the Nelson City Council
under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing
the sewerage treatment plant at Stoke and the construction
of an oxidation pond and expenditure incidental thereto, the
said Nelson City Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of eighty-seven five hundred and twelfths of a penny
(87/512d.) in the pound upon the rateable value on the basis
of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the City
of Nelson comprising the whole of the said city; and such
special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the
currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 23rd day
of July in each and every year during the currency of the
loan, being a period of 20 years, or until such loan is paid off."

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Southern Area Water Supply Loan 1961, £4,500
Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Otorohanga County Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £4,500 authorised to be raised by the Otorohanga
County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the
purpose of reticulating the water supply in the residential
area south of the Otorohanga Borough, the said Otorohanga
County Council hereby makes a special rate of three and
one-eighths pence (3½d.) in the pound upon the unimproved
rateable value of all rateable property of the Southern Area
Water Supply Special Rating Area; and that the special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency
of the loan and be payable yearly on the 21st day of August
in each and every year during the currency of the loan,
being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a
resolution passed at a meeting of the Otorohanga County
Council held on the 16th day of February 1962.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Notice is hereby given that at a meeting of the Hutt Valley
Electric Power and Gas Board held at the Board's offices,
Lower Hutt, on the 15th day of February 1962, the following
resolution was passed:
Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Hutt Valley Electric Power and Gas Board hereby resolves
as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges
on a loan of £100,000 authorised to be raised by the Hutt
Valley Electric Power and Gas Board under the above-
mentioned Act for the purpose of further reticulating the
Board's district, the said Hutt Valley Electric Power and Gas
Board hereby makes a special rate of one hundred and eighty-
two thousandths (0·182) of a penny in the pound upon the
rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of
all rateable property of the Hutt Valley Electric Power
District comprising the Boroughs of Eastbourne, Petone,
Upper Hutt, and Tawa; the City of Lower Hutt; part of the
City of Wellington; part of the Hutt County; and part of
the Makara County; and that the special rate shall be an
annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be
payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every
year during the currency of the loan, being a period of ten
(10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Westport
Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £3,100 authorised to be raised by the
Westport Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act
for the purpose of improving the gasworks, the said Westport
Borough Council hereby make and levy a special rate of
one farthing (¼d.) in the pound upon the rateable property
of the Borough of Westport comprising the whole of the
Borough of Westport; and that such special rate shall be an
annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan
and payable yearly in each and every year during the currency
of such loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan
is fully paid off."
We, the Mayor and Town Clerk respectively of the Borough
of Westport, do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution
was duly passed at the ordinary meeting of the Westport
Borough Council held on Monday, 19 February 1962.

Public notice is hereby given that at a meeting of the Ash-
burton Electric Power and Gas Board held on the 19th day
of February 1962 the following resolution was passed:
Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Ashburton Electric Power and Gas Board hereby resolves
as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges
on a loan of £80,000 authorised to be raised by the Ashburton
Electric Power and Gas Board under the above-mentioned
Act for the purpose of supplying and distributing electrical
energy for the benefit of the Ashburton Electric Power
District, and for such purposes to do all or any of such
matters and things which the Board is empowered to do
by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and its amendments,
and by all other powers and authorities it enabling, the said
Ashburton Electric Power and Gas Board hereby makes a
special rate of one-twentieth of a penny (¹⁄₂₀d.) in the
pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the
capital value) of all rateable property in the Ashburton
Electric Power District; and that the special rate shall be
an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and
be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of September and the
1st day of March (or yearly on the 1st day of March) in
each year and every year during the currency of the loan,
being for a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully
paid off."

Pensioners' Flats Loan 1961, £10,500
Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Hamilton City Council resolves as follows:
"That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges
on a loan of £10,500 authorised to be raised by the Hamilton
City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purposes
of paying the Council's share of the cost of constructing
three blocks of pensioners' flats containing four units per
block with all the necessary appurtenances for labour, materials,
and cartage, the purchase and development of the land, the
formation and construction of any necessary carriageways
and footways, kerbing, paving, and sealing, costs of laying
out the grounds and planting the same, the installation of
sewerage and storm-water drains, gas appliances, and gas
and water mains, the provision of lighting, the preparation
of plans, legal and engineers' fees, and supervision charges
and the costs of raising the loan, the said Hamilton City
Council hereby makes a special rate of sixteen thousandths
of a penny (016d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable
value, unimproved, of all rateable property in the City of
Hamilton; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring
rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly
on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the
currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years, or until
the loan is fully paid off."
I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution
passed by the Hamilton City Council at a duly constituted
meeting held on 14 February 1962.
