In the matter of the Companies Act 1955 and in the matter of Hackthorne House Ltd. (in liquidation).
THE liquidator of Hackthorne House Ltd., which is being wound up voluntarily hereby gives notice that an ordinary general meeting of the company will be held at the office of the liquidator, 190 Hereford Street, Christchurch, at 10 a.m. on Monday 26 February 1962, for the purpose of laying before the meeting an account of the winding up in accordance with section 281 of the Companies Act 1955.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
—
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Poverty Bay Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of two hundred and forty-five thousand pounds (£245,000) authorised to be raised by the Poverty Bay Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of extending, improving, adding to, and reinforcing the reticulation in the constituent districts of the Cook County (including the Patutahi Town district), Waikohu County (including the Te Karaka Town District), Uawa County, Waiapu County, and the City of Gisborne, and for purchasing equipment, plant, tools, instruments, motor vehicles, land, and the construction of buildings, the Poverty Bay Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-eleventh of a penny (1/11d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in that portion of the Poverty Bay Electric Power District as is contained in the constituent districts of the Cook County (including the Patutahi Town District), Waikohu County (including the Te Karaka Town District), Uawa County, Waiapu County, and the City of Gisborne; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is duly paid up.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Renewal Loan 1962, £20,700
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Timaru City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, as security for the payment of interest and the repayment of principal and other charges in respect of the loan of £20,700, to be known as the Renewal Loan 1962, authorised to be raised by the Timaru City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of redeeming at maturity those portions of the Stormwater Drainage Loan 1954, £98,600, and the Reserves Building Loan 1954, £11,000, which mature on 1 March 1962, the Timaru City Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge the special rates of six hundred and seventy-one thousandths of a penny (.671d.) and nine hundred and one ten thousandths of a penny (.0901d.) in the (£) upon the amount of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the whole of the City of Timaru that have already been appropriated and pledged for the Stormwater Drainage Loan 1954, £98,600, and the Reserves Building Loan 1954, £11,000, such rates to be annually recurring and to be payable in full on the 1st day of April in every year until the total amount borrowed has been repaid.”
The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Timaru City Council held on the 29th day of January 1962.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
—
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Green Island Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £64,000 authorised to be raised by the Green Island Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for water, drainage, and concord development, the Green Island Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of fivepence and one-half pence (5½d.) in the pound (£) of the annual rateable value of the whole of the Borough of Green Island; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
