The Standards Act 1941—Draft New Zealand Standard
Specification (Government Purchasing Series) No. D. 6879:
Combination Bassinette-Locker-Bathing Units for Use in
Maternity Hospitals
Pursuant to subsection (3) of section 8 of the Standards
Act 1941, notice is hereby given that the above-mentioned
draft New Zealand standard specification is being circulated.
All persons who may be affected by this specification and
who desire to comment thereon may, on application, obtain
copies on loan from the New Zealand Standards Institute,
Bowen State Building, Bowen Street, or Private Bag, Welling-
ton C. 1.
The closing date for the receipt of comment is 5 March 1962.

Pursuant to the Standards Act 1941, and the regulations
made thereunder, the Minister of Industries and Commerce,
on 18 January 1962, amended the under-mentioned standard
specification by the incorporation of the amendment shown
hereunder:
Number and Title of Specification: N.Z.S.S. 95: Model
Building By-law, Part XII, Chimneys.
Amendment: No. 3.
Price of Copy (Post Free): 2s. 6d.
Application for copies of the standard specification so
amended should be made to the N.Z. Standards Institute,
Bowen State Building, Bowen Street, or Private Bag, Wel-
lington C. 1.
Copies of the amendment will be supplied, free of charge,
upon request.

Specification Declared to be a Standard Specification
Pursuant to the Standards Act 1941, and the regulations
made thereunder, the Minister of Industries of Commerce, on
8 December 1961, declared the under-mentioned specifi-
cation to be a standard specification:
Number and Title of Specification: N.Z.S.S. 758:1961:
Household septic tanks.
Concurrently, the Minister has approved the recommendation
of the Standards Council that the under-mentioned codes of
recommended practice be adopted:
Number and Title of Code of Recommended Practice
CP 44:1961: Disposal of effluent from household septic tanks.
CP 45:1961: Maintenance of household septic tanks.
Application for copies of these publications, all of which
are included in one volume, should be made to the N.Z.
Standards Institute, Bowen State Building, Bowen Street,
Wellington, or the Government Printing Offices at Auckland,
Wellington, or Christchurch. The price is 5s. a copy, post free.

Pursuant to section 7 of the Standards Act 1941, the Min-
ister of Industries and Commerce, on 20 December 1961,
approved the recommendation of the Standards Council that
the under-mentioned code of recommended practice be
adopted:

Boundaries of City of Nelson, County of Waimea, and
Whangamoa Riding of County of Waimea Defined
Pursuant to section 26 of the Municipal Corporations Act
1954, the Secretary for Internal Affairs hereby defines, as
set out in the Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the City
of Nelson, the County of Waimea, and the Whangamoa
Riding of the County of Waimea, the previous boundaries
having been altered by Order in Council made on the 13th
day of April 1960 and published in Gazette, 21 April 1960,
No. 26, page 521.
SCHEDULE
BOUNDS OF CITY OF NELSON
ALL that area in the Nelson Land District bounded by a
line commencing at a point on the western low-water mark
at the Boulder Bank due west of the northernmost corner
of Section 1132, City of Nelson, and proceeding due east
along a right line to the northernmost corner of the said
Section 1132; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern
boundary of the said Section 1132 to its easternmost corner;
thence south-easterly along a right line to the westernmost
corner of Lot 3, D.P. 3202; thence south-easterly along the
south-western boundary of the said Lot 3 and that boundary
produced across No. 6 State Highway (Blenheim-Invercargill
via Nelson and Greymouth) and again along the south-
western boundary of the said Lot 3 to the north-western
boundary of Section 60, Block IX, Wakapuaka Survey Dis-
trict; thence south-westerly along the north-western boun-
daries of the said Section 60 and Section 59, Block IX
aforesaid, to the north-western corner of Section 58, Block
IX aforesaid; thence generally southerly, easterly, and
northerly along the western, southern, and eastern boundaries

westerly along the south-eastern boundary of the said Section
11, that boundary produced to the easternmost corner of

of Brook Street and Maitai; thence generally south-easterly
