thereof, and from any dam or dams which are or may be constructed or acquired on the said river or any tributary or tributaries thereof or any other river or streams, such water being conveyed into the said district by a race or races constructed or acquired by the Minister of Works or by an enlargement or extension thereof; the said works including all dams, weirs, reservoirs, tunnels, fluming, siphons, piping, gauge boxes, and races and all other works incidental to or required for the construction, maintenance, and control of the said works for the irrigation of the said Omakau Irrigation District.

Otago Land District

Omakau Irrigation District

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, Vincent and Maniototo Counties, containing 88,300 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the northernmost corner of Section 3, Block I, Lauder Survey District, and proceeding north-easterly and northerly along the north-western and western boundaries of Section 6, Block I aforesaid, to the northern side of the Undaunted Gold Mining Co. water race; thence generally north-easterly along the north-western side of that water race, passing through Section 6 aforesaid and Runs 223K and 2230, Lauder Survey District, to its intersection with the south-eastern boundary of the said Run 2230; thence generally north-easterly along that south-eastern boundary to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Section 86, Block VII, Lauder Survey District; thence north-easterly to and along that north-western boundary to its intersection with the south-western side of Tinkers Gold Mining Co. water race; thence generally north-westerly along the south-western side of that water race and its production to the north-eastern bank of Thomson's Creek; thence generally south-easterly along the left (north-eastern) bank of that creek to its intersection with the south-western boundary of Run 223L, Lauder Survey District; thence generally southerly along the south-western boundary of that run, to the northernmost corner of Section 86, Block VII, Lauder Survey District; thence north-easterly along a right line passing through Run 223L aforesaid, Runs 223M and 226G, Lauder Survey District, Run 226C, Lauder and Cluden Survey Districts, and Run 226B, Lauder, Cluden, St Bathans, and Blackstone Survey Districts, to the intersection of the left (north-eastern) bank of Donald Stuart's Creek with the northern boundary of Block IV, Blackstone Survey District; thence generally south-easterly and easterly along the left bank of that creek to its junction with the right (western) bank of Dunstan Creek; thence generally northerly along that bank to a point in line with the southern boundary of Section 51, Block II, St. Bathans Survey District; thence easterly to and along that southern boundary and the southern boundaries of Sections 46 and 47, Block II aforesaid, and the production of that last-mentioned boundary to the westernmost corner of Run 683, St. Bathans Survey District; thence due east along the southern boundary of Block II, St. Bathans Survey District, and its production to the right (north-western) bank of the Manuherikia River; thence generally north-easterly along that right bank to the north-western end of the Falls Storage Dam; thence generally north-easterly, easterly, and south-westerly along the north-western, northern, and south-eastern boundaries of the maximum water storage level of that dam to the south-eastern end of the Falls Storage Dam; thence generally south-westerly along the left (south-eastern) bank of the Manuherikia River to its junction with south-eastern side of the water-race intake, adjacent to peg 1, S.O. 3372; thence generally south-westerly along the south-eastern side of that water race to its intersection with a right line bearing 185° 02' distant 1500 links approximately from the north-western boundary of Run 224A, Blackstone Survey District, S.O. 223; thence south-westerly along a right line to Trig. M, Block XXI, Blackstone Survey District; thence along a bearing of 173° 26' distance 316.2 links to the north-eastern boundary of Section 15, Block XXI aforesaid, S.O. 224; thence south-easterly and south-westerly along the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of that section and the production of that last-mentioned boundary to the south-western side of Thurlow Road; thence again south-westerly along the south-eastern boundary of the said Section 15 and its production to the right (north-eastern) bank of the Pool-burn; thence generally north-westerly and south-westerly along that right bank of the Poolburn and its production to the right (north-western) bank of the Manuherikia River; thence generally south-westerly along the right bank of that river to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Run 223F, Tiger Hill Survey District; thence generally north-westerly to and along the south-western boundary of that run and its production to the south-eastern boundary of Section 5, Block X, Tiger Hill Survey District; thence generally south-westerly along the south-eastern boundary of that section to the westernmost corner of Section 11, Block X aforesaid; thence south-westerly, south-easterly, and again south-westerly along the north-western, south-western, and north-western boundaries of part Section 9, Block X aforesaid, and the production of that last-mentioned boundary to the left (eastern) bank of Chatto Creek; thence generally northerly along the left bank of that creek to the north-western boundary of Run 223I, Tiger Hill Survey District; thence north-easterly along the north-western boundary of that run to the southernmost corner of Section 10, Block III, Tiger Hill Survey District; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundary of that section and the south-western

boundary of Section 7, Block I, Lauder Survey District, and the production of that last-mentioned boundary to the easternmost corner of Section 3, Block I aforesaid; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern boundary of that section to the point of commencement; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 2091 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
