AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
—
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of forty-five thousand four hundred pounds (£45,400), to be known as the Redemption Loan 1962 of £45,400, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of meeting a deficiency in sinking funds available to redeem the Consolidated Loan 1926, £500,000, second issue of £200,000, and the cost of raising the loan, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of seven twenty-fifths of one penny (7/25 of 1d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of Auckland City, comprising the whole of the City of Auckland; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”

CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
—
Centennial Baths Competition Loan 1960, £168,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amendments and all other powers it in that behalf enabling, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of one hundred and sixty-eight thousand pounds (£168,000) authorised to be raised by the Christchurch City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing the Centennial Pool and providing appropriate facilities, the said Christchurch City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of fifteen thousand nine hundred and twenty-one/one hundred and fifty-six thousand two hundred and fifty thousandths of a penny (15,921/156,250) in the pound (£0·00042456) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property comprised within the City of Christchurch; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate payable on demand during the currency of the said loan, being a period of twenty (20) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The Christchurch City Council, at a meeting held on the 13th day of December 1961, passed the above resolution.

MARLBOROUGH ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
—
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, and all other powers it thereunto enabling, the Marlborough Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing for the repayment of principal, interest, and other charges on the Board’s Development Loan 1961 of £100,000 authorised to be raised by the Marlborough Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of further reticulating the Marlborough Electric Power District, the Marlborough Electric Power Board makes and levies a special rate of twelve one-hundredths of one penny (0·12d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) on all rateable property in the Marlborough Electric Power District; such special rate to be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and to be payable yearly on the 1st day of February in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being the period of fifteen (15) years, or until the loan is fully repaid.”

RODNEY COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
—
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and the Rural Housing Act 1939, the Rodney County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £20,000 authorised to be raised by the Rodney County Council under the above-mentioned Acts, such loan to be known as the Rural Housing Loan (No. 4) 1961 of £20,000, for the purpose of making advances to farmers for the erection of dwellings under the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Rodney County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal 14437 pence (·14437d.) in the pound on the basis of the unimproved value of all the rateable property in the whole of the County of Rodney; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan or until the loan is fully paid off. It is not proposed to collect the special rate, but to meet the annual charges on the loan from the repayments of interest and principal made by persons to whom advances are made by the Council, pursuant to the Rural Housing Act 1939.”
The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Rodney County Council held on the 14th day of December 1961.

SPRINGS-ELLESMERE ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
—
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Springs-Ellesmere Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £100,000 to be known as the No. 15 Reticulation Loan 1961 authorised to be raised by the Springs-Ellesmere Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of further reticulating the Springs-Ellesmere Electric Power District, the said Springs-Ellesmere Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of seven-twentieths (7/20) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Springs-Ellesmere Electric Power District, comprising the whole of the Counties of Ellesmere, Springs, and Paparua and parts of the Counties of Selwyn, Halswell, and Malvern; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 15th day of December in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
We hereby certify that the above is a true copy of and a correct extract from the minutes of proceedings of the Springs-Ellesmere Electric Power Board at the meeting above written.

EKETAHUNA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
—
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Ekatahuna Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £11,000 authorised to be raised by the Ekatahuna Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of converting a portion of £11,000 being the balance outstanding of the Sewer Extension Loan 1957, £13,000, to a term of 30 years commenced on 1 August 1958, the said Ekatahuna Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of three and three-quarter pence upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Ekatahuna Borough, comprising the whole of the Borough of Ekatahuna; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of August and the 1st day of February in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 27 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
