of Burton’s Central Heaters Ltd.

NOTICE is hereby given that, at an extraordinary general
meeting of the above-named company held on the 18th day
of December 1961, the following extraordinary resolution was
passed:

“That, by reason of its liabilities, the company cannot con-
tinue in business and that the company be wound up volun-
tarily.”

PURSUANT to section 281 of the Companies Act 1955, notice
is hereby given that a general meeting of shareholders of the
above company will be held at the offices of Claude W. Evans
and Co., Public Accountants, T. and G. Building, Hereford
Street, Christchurch, on Wednesday, 31 January 1962, at
10 a.m., for the purpose of laying before it the liquidator’s
account of the winding up showing how the winding up has
been conducted and the property of the company has been
disposed of and of hearing from the liquidator any explana-
tions thereof.

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Park Avenue Flats Supplementary Loan 1961, £11,000

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of eleven thousand pounds (£11,000)
authorised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under
the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing
the purpose for which the Park Avenue Flats Loan 1960 of
£110,000 was sanctioned, the said Lower Hutt City Council
hereby makes and levies a special rate of fifty-three thou-
sandths of a penny (0·053d.) in the pound (£) on the
rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all
rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt; and that such
special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the
currency of such loan and be incorporated and added to the
consolidated special rate, made pursuant to the provisions
of section 108A of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954,
and be payable yearly on or about the 1st day of August in
each and every year during the currency of such loan, being
a period of 40 years, or until such time as the loan is paid
off.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed
at the meeting of the Lower Hutt City Council held on the
18th day of December 1961.

MANUKAU COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Water Reticulation Loan 1961, £250,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Manukau County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £250,000 authorised to be raised by the Manukau
County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the pur-
pose of extending and improving water reticulation within
the County of Manukau, the said Manukau County Council
hereby makes a special rate of decimal one five pence (·15d.)
in the pound (£) upon the rateable capital value of all
rateable property of the County of Manukau; and that the
special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of
April in each and every year during the currency of the loan,
being a period of 25 years or until the loan is fully paid
off.”

I, Ronald Wood, County Clerk of the Manukau County
Council, hereby certify that the above resolution was duly
passed at a meeting of the Manukau County Council held
on the 12th day of December 1961.

THAMES COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Rural Housing Loan 1961, £10,000

THAT pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Thames County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £10,000 authorised to be raised by the Thames
County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the
purpose of advancing moneys to farmers for the erection of,
or additions to, or repairs to houses under the provisions
of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Thames County
Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·09233 pence in the
pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the
County of Thames; and that the special rate shall be an
annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and
shall be payable yearly on the 20th day of August in each
and every year during the currency of the loan, being a
period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The foregoing resolution was passed at a meeting of the
Thames County Council held on the 14th day of December
1961.
