IN a Proclamation published in Gazette, 1961, No. 1, at page 1, taking additional land for railway purposes between Spring Creek and Tuamarina, in the Schedule thereto, for the word “Canterbury”, read “Marlborough”.

Declaring Land to be Crown Land

COBHAM, Governor-General

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 265 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land and to be subject to the Land Act 1948.

SCHEDULE

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land containing 389 acres 1 rood 30 perches, more or less, being the block of land known as Section 378, Town of Carnarvon, situated in Block III, Sandy Survey District, and Blocks V and IX, Te Kawau Survey District. Certificate of title, Volume 604, folio 113.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 25th day of January 1961.

Land in Ohinemuri County Taken for the Purposes of the Waikato-Thames (Paeroa Connection) Railway

COBHAM, Governor-General

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the Waikato-Thames (Paeroa Connection) Railway.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land taken:

A. R. P. Being
1 0 6·8 Part Koromatua No. 1a and No. 2a Blocks; coloured yellow.
0 2 1·4 Part Koromatua No. 3a Block; coloured sepia.

Both situated in Block XVI, Waihou Survey District, Ohinemuri County. (S.O. 40706.)

In the South Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 17024 deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for a teacher’s residence; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 6th day of February 1961.

SCHEDULE

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of Crown land containing 1 rood situated in Block II, Mawheranui Survey District, Westland R.D., being Lot 223, on a plan lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Hokitika, as No. 1466, being part Section 3. Part certificate of title, Volume 28, folio 93, Westland Land Registry.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 25th day of January 1961.

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, now held for State housing purposes, is hereby set apart for a public school; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 6th day of February 1961.

SCHEDULE

HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land containing 5 acres 3 roods 10 perches situated in the City of Napier, Hawke’s Bay R.D., and being Lot 4, D.P. 9801, being part Te Whare-o-Maraenui Block.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 25th day of January 1961.
