Declaring Land Taken for a Government Work and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land, Subject to a Proclamation Defining the Middle Line of a Transmission Line

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be deemed to have been Crown land for the purposes of the Land Act 1948 as from the 28th day of September 1961, subject to Proclamation No. 15177 (Auckland Land Registry) defining the middle line of a transmission line.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take, subject to existing timber rights, the land described in the Schedule hereto for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of a road; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Taupo and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of such land should, if they have any well grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing and send such writing, within 40 days of the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.
