TAUPO BOROUGH COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR A SERVICE LANE
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1908 and its amendments and the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and its
amendments.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Taupo Borough Council
proposes, pursuant to the provisions of the above-mentioned
Acts and of all other Acts and powers it thereunto enabling,
to execute a certain public work, namely, the construction of a
service lane in the Borough of Taupo; and for the purposes
of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto
are required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given
that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited
at the offices of the Taupo Borough Council, situate in Story
Place, Taupo, and is there open for inspection, without fee,
by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public
work or by the taking of such lands who have well grounded
objections to the execution of the said public work or to the
taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing
and send such writing, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk at the Taupo Borough
Council Chambers, Story Place, Taupo.

OTOROHANGA BOROUGH COUNCIL
NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL ON LOAN PROPOSAL
PURSUANT to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act
1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers of
the Borough of Otorohanga, taken on the 24th day of
October 1961, on the proposal of the above-named local
authority to raise a loan of £11,500, to be known as the
Storm-water Loan 1961, for the purpose of providing storm-
water reticulation for the central area of the borough, resulted
as follows:
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was ......... 183
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was...........90
The number of informal votes was.......................1
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
