AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and
amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto enabling
it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing interest and other
charges on a loan of two hundred and thirty-five thousand
pounds (£235,000), to be known as the Destructor Loan 1960,
of £235,000, which amount is proposed to be raised by the
Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for
the purpose of constructing a compost plant and incinerator
for the disposal of refuse and the cost of raising the loan, the
said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a
special rate of five-ninths of one penny (5/9 of 1d.) in the
pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the
annual value) of all rateable property of Auckland City,
comprising the whole of the City of Auckland; and that the
said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the
1st day of June in each and every year during the currency
of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off."

WAIRIOA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Reticulation Loan 1961, £20,000

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, at a meeting of the Wairoa
Electric Power Board held on the 16th day of October 1961,
the following resolution was passed.

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Wairoa Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges
on a loan of twenty thousand pounds (£20,000) authorised to
be raised by the Wairoa Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of supplying and distributing
electrical energy for the benefit of the Wairoa Electric Power
District, and for such purposes to do all or any of such
matters and things which the Board is empowered to do by the
Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and its amendments, and by
all other powers and authorities it enabling, the said Wairoa
Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of point
nought five two of a penny (.052d.) in the pound (£) upon
the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all
rateable property in the Wairoa Electric Power District; and
that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the
1st day of May and the 1st day of November in each and
every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of
twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

INVERCARGILL CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Airport Loan (No. 2) 1961, £8,000

THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956,
and for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a
loan of £8,000 authorised to be raised by the Invercargill
City Council under the above mentioned Act for the purpose
of further improvements at the Invercargill Airport and the
Council's share of capital works, including access roads and
taxi-way, the said Invercargill City Council hereby makes a
special rate of decimal nought one four pence in the pound
(.014d.) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved
value) of all rateable property in the City of Invercargill; and
that the said special rate shall be payable on the 1st day
of November in each and every year during the currency
of the loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is
fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy
of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Invercargill City
Council held on Tuesday, 24 October 1961.

NELSON CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Nelson City Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing interest and other
charges on a loan of £5,400, to be known as the Aged Persons
Flats Loan No. 2 (1961), authorised to be raised by the Nelson City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the
purpose of erecting flats for aged persons, the Nelson City
Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of seven five-
hundred and twelfths of a penny (7/512d.) in the pound upon
the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of
all rateable property in the City of Nelson, comprising the
whole of the said city; and such rate shall be an annually
recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be
payable yearly on the 23rd day in each and every year during
the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until
such loan is paid off."

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was passed by
the Nelson City Council at an ordinary meeting held in the
City Council Chamber, Trafalgar Street, Nelson, on the 19th
day of October 1961.

PAEROA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Paeroa
Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a
loan of sixteen thousand pounds (£16,000) authorised to be
raised by the Paeroa Borough Council under the above-
mentioned Act for the carrying out of improvements to sewerage, storm water, and footpath facilities, the said Paeroa
Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of eight-tenths
of a penny (0·8d.) upon the rateable unimproved value of
all rateable property of the Borough of Paeroa; and that the
special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the
currency of the loan and be payable yearly in each and every
year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15
years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

I hereby certify the foregoing to be a true extract from the
minutes of a meeting of the Paeroa Borough Council held on
the 12th day of October 1961.

COOK COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Bridge Renewal Loan 1961

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Cook
County Council resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of thirty-five thousand pounds (£35,000),
to be known as the Cook County Council Bridges Renewal
Loan 1961, authorised to be raised by the Cook County
Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of
renewing bridges, the said Cook County Council hereby makes
and levies a special rate of one hundred and thirty-eight one-
thousandths of one penny (0·138d.) in the pound on the
unimproved value of all rateable property in the County of
Cook; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring
rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly
on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years,
or until the loan is fully paid off."

We certify that the foregoing is a true copy and a correct
extract from the minutes of proceedings of the Cook County
Council held on the 26th day of October 1961.
